When watching TV seasons do you fast forward the opening credit sequence?

Just curious, if you watch it once and then fast forward or watch it every time? I watch them every single time. I think it adds to the experience of watching a season or series.

I usually fast forward.

Yes, at 1.5 speed, so I can still get the flavor.....except Sopranos.

I usually watch them...and sing/hum along in most cases.

I usually watch it once and then fast forward through it after that.

Usually fast forward, and love it when they have chapter stops set correctly to easily skip them.

I usually watch them. The only time I can remember skipping them was Band of Brothers. Too damn long.

Depends on the show.

For shows like Weeds and Game of Thrones that have something unique in the credits for each episode, yes. For something like True Blood or Nurse Jackie, I always fast forward.

A lot of newer shows like Breaking Bad, Big Bang Theory have really short opening credits so I usually let those go. The BBT theme is pretty funny at 1.5 speed though.

Most shows I've come across, you can use the skip button and the next chapter will be immediately after the credits are over.

I love the True Blood credits! I actually never noticed the Game of Thrones credits are different. That's how much attention I pay to it.

For HBO shows that usually have a long opening, I will skip forward except for the first and final episode. But usually I skip them all.

For Hell on Wheels, I like the music so much I always let it play :)

I had no idea until a friend pointed it out to me. I had pretty much skipped them on my first viewing of Season 1, but I did watch them for my 2nd viewing of S1 on BD. Many of the weeks are exactly the same, but if a new kingdom/house is in the ep, it will be in the opening credits map.

TB credits are pretty good, and I do like the song, but I still skip them most of the time.

The only one I've never skipped through was Mad Men. It's short, the music's good, and I like seeing who might be guest-starring.

Boardwalk Empire, though... I like the song, but it seems to take forever to start.

Yeah, I usually watch the credits. Particularly True Blood, Mad Men, and Sopranos.

I normally watch them. I do usually skip True Blood's theme though because it annoys me for some reason.

Not on Blu but I never forward through Angel's credits. They're my absolute favorite opening sequence ever. I never forward through the Firefly credits either. I do, however, sing them very loudly.

I'll watch the credits for the first episode of each season but I'll fast forward through them for the remaining episodes. It's awesome with the chapter stops make this a painless process.

Re: When watching TV seasons do you fast forward the opening credit sequence?

I skip after seeing it a couple times, and it really bugs me when there isn't a chapter stop after it. I mean, really, there is no excuse not to do that. It's especially annoying when I don't know/forget and skip forward, only to have to rewind back to the right spot.

Re: When watching TV seasons do you fast forward the opening credit sequence?

Yeah, not putting a chapter stop after the credits is inexcusable.

It really depends on the show. I could sit through 11 seasons of Cheers and watch the opening credits every time. However I couldn't make it through 10 seasons of Smallville watching the opening.

Usually if it's long but not for Oz or currently, The Sopranos. And I still try to see who wrote and directed in most cases. Oh and Cheers always gets seen.

I always get up and do a True Blood theme song dance for my wife, so in that case no.

Funny, Smallville is one of the only intros I wouldn't skip through, just because the song fit the show and it always showed Erica Durance in some skimpy outfit. :)

Re: When watching TV seasons do you fast forward the opening credit sequence?

If I am watching a complete series then yes at some point I will start to skip, but if just a season then no.
