Sony Test Patterns on Sony Blu-Rays
 

I own a couple of Sony Blu-Ray discs and tried to activate the test patterns. Whenever I tried pressing "7669" on the remote then following it up by hitting "enter" on the actual movie menu, it would simply just play the movie because the curser is hovered around 'play' when I press 'enter'. The 2 movies I attempted were: Last Action Hero & District 9. What am I doing wrong? Because I heard these easter egg test patterns were available on ALL Sony Blu-Ray discs.

I have not tried it on any other sony tittle as I do not have any other sony tittles on blu-ray in my collection. Only Last Action Hero and District 9.

As I recall, this easter egg doesn't work properly on all Blu-ray players.

Just buy a real calibration disc. You'll get a lot more useful test patterns that way. The Sony patterns are very basic.

Last one I tried didn't require the Enter button, just the numbers.
