Forking ashholes announced Shredder (2001) nearly 8 months ago and there's still no sign of a forking disc.

From a few weeks back:

Great news from the Scorpion Releasing camp! "Shredder", "Iron Warrior" and "Gas Pump Girls" are currently in replication and should be landing on Ronin Flix/Diabolik in the very near future. We've also received some big news on the upcoming Lakeshore titles! I can't say much right now. But, one of the titles is an 80's thrill-ride featuring a star-studded cast, a genre legend and has never been on Blu-ray before! We'll have more info on all of the upcoming Scorpion/Lakeshore titles coming very soon! Stay tuned.

Re: Scorpion Releasing goes Blu

Gas Pump Girls??? That’s a preorder for me- it’s the greatest movie that was ever shot in Sacramento. I have a YouTube video of the main location but can’t link to it on my phone right now. Later on in the movie there’s a factory that I drove by on the way to work for a while that serves as an oil company in the movie, with a matte painting.

Gas Pump Girls looks great BTW, far more detail than any previous release letting me spot more locations near me where it was shot. Still need to check out the commentary track.

Re: Scorpion Releasing goes Blu

Nobody's mentioned Record City from 1977- very glad to have this out. It was shot on video and then transferred to film, it would've been great if they'd been able to include the original video elements as well as the film transfer. Might be a rare practical use for a TV's motion smoothing in this case.

Not a bad upgrade on that Mechanic disc over Twilight Time’s edition. The Richard Kline commentary is from their disc, so the only thing not ported over seems to be the isolated score and the booklet (which had a good Julie Kirgo essay). Paul Talbot’s commentaries are usually pretty decent.

Re: Scorpion Releasing goes Blu

Got a Ronin Flix email today that mentioned Scorpion is releasing the sorta-Rat Pack crime drama JOHNNY COOL (starring Henry Silva with Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop in support and Peter Lawford producing) alongside LONE WOLF McQUADE mentioned earlier. This has been part of the MGM MOD series for ages, so it's nice to see it get a 'proper' release, even if I'll have to wait for a decent sale to try it out.

Re: Scorpion Releasing goes Blu

Have any of you guys purchased titles from Ronin Flix?

https://roninflix.com/

They sent me a $5 coupon and I used it to buy Lone Wolf McQuade and The Mechanic, which are both limited Scorpion titles. Also got free shipping.

The funny thing is that the order triggered a fraud alert on my credit card. But, I approved the transaction with a click of the mouse.

It has probably been a couple years, but I've ordered from there before. No problems. Very quick.

Re: Scorpion Releasing goes Blu

I got my shipping notice today, so looks like they should arrive sometime this week.

Scorpion seems to be a really small and niche label for them to only be available on this small boutique retailers and charge a premium at $30/title.

Re: Scorpion Releasing goes Blu

My copies of Lone Wolf McQuade and The Mechanic arrived in 3 days and were packed very nicely in a box.

Very impressed. I may order from Ronin Flix again in the future. Only thing is that these Scorpion releases are quite expensive, so I have to be selective.

Re: Scorpion Releasing goes Blu

Blu-ray includes a Limited Edition slipcover while supplies last.

Political extremists have taken innocent people hostage ... and only super-soldiers Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin can rescue them. Co-starring Martin Balsam and Shelley Winters, The Delta Force is 130 non-stop minutes of explosive, wall-to-wall action!

When a U.S. passenger plane is seized by vicious hijackers and taken to Beirut, the President calls in the Delta Force, a crack team of commandos led by Colonel Nick Alexander (Marvin) and Major Scott McCoy (Norris). Against all odds, the men blast into the compound and - taking no prisoners - rescue the hostages. But the mission is not yet over. A few remaining passengers are being "escorted" to Tehran, initiating a desperate race against time as Alexander and McCoy try to save them - and avenge America's honor - before it's too late.

Starring Chuck Norris, Lee Marvin, Martin Balsam, Shelley Winters, Robert Forster

Special Features: New 2K scan from the interpositive, Archival interviews with Robert Forster and Alain Jakubowicz, New interview with screenwriter James Bruner, Theatrical Trailer

Scorpion Releasing // 1986 // 129 Minutes // Rated R // Color // English // Region A

One of Chuck Norris' 1980s classics The Delta Force is now out. It's $28 at Ronin Flix

It's one of my favorite Norris movies. However, I already have the Arrow Region 2 release. So I don't think I will be double dipping. The extras are meh. The only thing that would somewhat entice me is the new 2K transfer.

If you're not Region free, then sure go for it if you're a Norris fan. It's the best release stateside so far. The previous MGM version was barebones.
