I've seen two episodes of the show (the pilot and one revolving around a polygraph) and really liked what I saw. For $24.99, I'll bite.

I almost never recommend blind buys, but this show is fantastic. A friend recommended it to me halfway through the season and I watched 4 episodes the first night. Intense, well-written and great acting.

I think the best way to describe Homeland is a "more realistic version" of 24 (Howard Gordon was a showrunner there, and he's is here as well). It's basically all the political intrique/spy games you loved about 24, without all the superhero action. Perhaps a "thinking man's 24" is the best description. It's also SUPERBLY acted.

Yes, it is a more realistic version of 24. For example, there's the special 3 hour episode where Claire Danes drives across Los Angeles in real time.

Screw that. Does she at least use the bathroom? Because Jack Bauer's obvious constipation and inflamed prostate always freaked me out while watching 24.

I bought the BD yesterday and noticed there is a 4 minute featurette that's a Prologue to season 2. I watched a little of it and it looked like a bonus/extended scene from the finale. Carrie was interacting with Brody and mentioned it had been 3 months since they last saw each other.

The bonus features look to be lacking on this set, are they? There's what you mentioned, a few deleted scenes, one commentary and some documentary?

Is the docu feature length and previously unavailable?

real surprised

The documentary runs about 33 minutes long. I haven't gotten a chance to watch entirely yet.

But yeah the set is kind of light on extras.

The scene with Carrie and Brody in the bonus features seems like an extended scene from the finale. It literally takes place right after Carrie undergoes the treatment.

Showtime is usually really skimpy with extras. This sounds like a packed Criterion by their standards.

It's not a Showtime (CBS) release; it's 20th Century Fox.

I can think of two.
Just finished watching the pilot, and had no idea what this exchange had to do with anything until Morena Baccarin made her first appearance.

I was pleasantly surprised.
