September 4th is the release date now announced by Warner Home Video for Person of Interest - The Complete 1st Season on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc. The 6-disc DVD set is priced at $59.98 SRP, and the 10-disc Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo set is priced at $69.97 SRP. The digital version uses the UltraViolet system, and is therefore only available in the USA (must be redeemed within two years of street date). Other extras on both versions consist of:
Original Broadcast Pilot Commentary
Extended Pilot Episode (Unaired) with Producer Commentary
Featurette: Living in an Age of Surveillance
Gag Reel

If you didn't see this on CBS this past season, I highly recommend it. Initially it starts out as mostly a procedural drama, but in the 2nd half of the season more serialized story elements were used.

This along with Revenge on ABC were probably the best new network dramas this season In my humble opinion.

Ridiculous trend of packing a whole DVD season in with the Blu-ray set, but whatcha gonna do?

I'm just glad it's headed to Blu-ray at all.

Me wonders how many people will sell their DVDs for about $30...considering it's only $10 to get the Blu-ray - take the DVDs out, throw them on Ebay for half of what WB is asking for the DVD-only set.
