The steelbooks are showing up at my Wal-Mart for 12.96. Bought Mission Impossible, MI:4 Ghost Protocol, Gladiator, Braveheart, Batman and Batman Returns. Will look for Serenity, Pitch Black, Riddick Chronicles, and a few others that werent out yet in a day or two.

My Other Self

I had liked these SteelBooks at first but after getting V for Vendetta, TDK and Batman Begins I stopped. I'm not digging the lack of art inside the case itself. Seems kind of blah.

I'm not a special case guy anymore like I was in my DVD days but if something looks nice (i.e. Django) I'm all for it. The WB reissues just come off as lazy.

Saw a bunch of these tonight. I own a bunch of the ones I'd want. I picked up Chinatown and might get Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

I really dig the Watchmen steelbook cover, and alot of others...that said, I just can't bring myself to triple dip. I upgraded alot of these from DVD to blu already.

I love the movie so am tempted to get that one. Had a few in my hands trying to decide but held off.

Don't have Chinatown yet on Bly so probably will get it.

just an fyi.. Watchmen, Batman Begins and the Dark Knight are the only ones that come with Inside artwork.

Alot of these have shown up at Walmart within the last few days, most of them priced at $12.96.

The Death Race comic steelbook looks awful up close. Whoever drew that somehow managed to make the uber-sexy Natalie Martinez look bloated and ugly.

The only ones I bought were Face/Off and Heat. Never liked the white border on the original Face/Off cover and I really like the metallic blue cover on the Heat steelbook.

Picked up Batman and Batman Returns at Wal-Mart. Not one to double dip for artwork, but I love the cover for The Departed steelbook.

I finally seen these yesterday at Best Buy (priced $14.99), and a cardboard display of the Universal "Reel Heroes" steelbooks. Best buy has a larger selection of the Universal's than Walmart did.

Yeah, I was at Best Buy to get a PSN card and noticed this endcap. Several different Universal films in comic panel style packaging, all with Ultraviolet copies. I picked up Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick, The Big Lebowski, and Scott Pilgrim. I didn't have the first three on BD yet (I have them on HD DVD). I have two copies of Scott Pilgrim (regular BD and UK Steelbook), but this one looked so cool, I couldn't resist. They were all $14.99.

Some are $9.96 at Wal-mart this week (Pitch Black), and some are $12.96 (Riddick, Big Lebowski, Scott Pilgrim). Target is also selling some of these for $12.

I was at Target earlier and saw The Mummy, Chronicles of Riddick and Scarface for $12 each.

Those are really beautiful covers but man I really wish these were full-fledged SteelBook cases with interior artwork.

WB will be releasing another wave of steelbooks. Should be arriving on October 1st.

I'll pick up The Ring since I never got around to getting the original release. Would like to get Cloverfield, but I'm not rebuying movies I already have just for a new case.

I'd say 99.9% identical discs. Sleepy Hollow's 15th anniversary is next year, but I doubt we'll get a new disc for that either.

Best Buy is having a 2-day sale on several of the WB steelbooks for $8.99 each. Looks like Amazon has matched some of them.
