WTF....I'm still in shipping soon status on Amazon. I didn't expect this in my mailbox yesterday, but I figured it would at least be shipped on it's release date. Anyone else having this issue??

It's just something that Disney does, for most of thier releases. I think it's to encourage (or maybe trick is the right word), people who are still buying DVD's to buy the blu.

Loved watching the movie, but I missed watching it with a crowd of people in the theater.

The humor is funnier with tons of people all laughing at the same time.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012

Anybody who bought the 3D combo interested in getting rid of their Digital Copy? I found a 2-disc BR+DVD combo with the exclusive Target bonus disc. I was only going to get the 3D combo for those 2 extras so now all I'm missing is the Digital Copy.

Got the wal-mart set with the comic this morning. Kind of debating if I should return it and just get the 19.99 regular br/dvd but ah I don't want to go to wal-mart.

Has Amazon's price adjustment shown up for anyone yet? I'm still seeing the original $29.99 - $5.00 coupon for a total of $24.99 on my order detail.

Mine was showing up at $19.99 after the coupon. I wrote Amazon and, though it already shipped, they said I should see a price adjustment between 24 to 48 hours.

Interesting the 2-disc order, was the free one Amazon gave me for appreciation of my patience on the Cinematic Universe delay. (Way too many prepositions there. Sorry.) I don't expect to really see a refund there.

I don't quibble over a few bucks with entertainment. In my mind if I'm having to pinch pennies that closely, I should reconsider the purchase of something like this in the first place.

I like the pre-order experience with Amazon Prime because I receive it at my home on release day. I much prefer that over going to the only store within 30 miles that carries Blu-rays, my local Walmart. The fact that Amazon price-matches with such expedience without my having to intercede is the ultimate in customer service.

I went ahead and cancelled the 2 disc version and ordered the 3D one. I don't really care about 3D but for the same price with a few added extras its worth it to me.

For those who haven't received a price match, check to see if the change in price has been reflected in your order history.

I've received price match emails almost instantly from Amazon. Others have taken weeks. Don't worry, you'll get the refund back. The email I got from Amazon said:

Yet, if you take a look at the order history, it reflects the correct $14.99 price.

If you haven't gotten your refund yet, just take a deep breath and relax.

Amazon Pre-order Price Guarantee
If you pre-ordered this item at a higher price, we'll be automatically refunding the difference to you under our Pre-order Price Guarantee. You'll receive an e-mail confirming your refund in the next 1-2 days. Offer valid only on items shipped and sold by Amazon.com.
They're probably issuing a ton of these credits.

but for the same price why not get the 5 disc set instead of 3 disc set? You could always put the 3D and digital copy on Ebay.

I went to Target yesterday with the full intention of just getting the Blu-Ray with the bonus disc, but ended up getting the 3D one. I figured - for the same amount of money - why not?

After all, back in the day I was adamant against getting a cell phone and a Kindle and now I love those things. Though I have zero interest in getting a 3D TV right now, you never know.

Yeah but they were sold out anyways (of the 3D version). And I don't feel like doing some crazy scavenger hunt for some extra materials I have no use for.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012

The 2 disc case for the 3D version was designed with stacking in mind. I opened my case last night and the disc hubs are a little deeper vs the regular 2 disc casing. I'm not too bothered by this packaging since they did alter the disc hubs.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012

I thought I had a great idea to fix that. I swapped it out with the case for Fantasia, since that's got room for 4 discs. Got it all moved over, then realized the Fantasia case was a **** hair thicker than a regular case, so the slipcover wouldn't fit over it.

AVM4TGR9JU42 ...only good for the poster and digital comic. I used the Disney Rewards already.
