I hope Amazon matches Walmart, they have the the set for $29.96. So if they match and you have the amazon coupon you can get it for $24.95 which isnt too bad for the four pack.

Thanks for the heads up. I might write Amazon about price matching Wal-Mart's price.

Looks like on the NON 3D one the bonus disc is a DVD...if i'm just to trust the cover. I like the cover better though for sure.

I don't see any reason that the bonus disc would not be on Blu-ray. Game of Thrones & 2012 are two Target exclusives which comes to mind that have included Target-exclusive Blu-ray bonus discs.

Disney is good about doing bonus discs as Blu-rays. Hell, even the Best Buy John Carter bonus disc was a Blu-ray and had matching disc art and menus to main disc.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012

Eh, it was OK. There were a few extended scenes and a featurette called "Populating Mars," which was about all the creatures they created for the movie. It was ~25 minutes of stuff total. Nice to have, but I don't know if I'd seek it out.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012

Did anyone else notice the 3D version at Target has the following

Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + Music

Wonder if that is the soundtrack, the score, or some other CD or DVD audio disc...

All copies of the 3D release will have a link to download the digital release of Avengers Assemble (Music Inspired By the Motion Picture). Disney did a similar tactic with their three-disc combo pack of The Muppets.

Lame that Second Screen is iOS-only.

I do have an iPhone, but I'd prefer using this on my Android 4.0 tablet. Such is life.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012

$38 at Target is way to pricey, if it comes down below $30, then I might bite.

I know Disney always prices their stuff high, but the movie should be around $19.99. They know tons are of people buy, so they are jacking up the price.

We have a 3D TV, but did not think the movie was awesome in 3D. 2D did the movie just fine.

Looks like I can save a few bucks by skipping that version. I'd be down for it if it was the score.

Amazon adjusted my order total to $24.96 (after $5 off coupon). I'm fine with that price.

All of Disney's Second Screen apps have always been iOS-only: Bambi, John Carter, The Lady and the Tramp, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Reel Steel and Tron: Legacy. The Avengers marks the first Second Screen app that's universal working on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Most of Disney's apps will never be made for Android, because, well, look at Disney's largest shareholder.

I'll place bets that the Blu-ray+DVD combo pack will be $19.99 (or less) on release date meaning the Blu-ray 3D set will be $24.99 (or less)... making all of our Amazon pre-orders set for $19.99.

I love the disc art. Holy shit that's awesome. The artist is Matthew Ferguson after some googling.

That said... I already own them all. Can't. Do it.
