Melancholia - March 13th

One of my favorites of the past year...

Two behind-the-scenes featurettes:
- Making of Melancholia
- Behind the scenes of Melancholia
Interviews

-

Amazon has it for $18.49. Despite the lack of great features, the visual presentation should be reference quality. I cannot recommend this film enough.

Yeesh. if thats all in the way of special features I will pass on this one. May have to look into importing the region 2

I went with the UK Blu-ray last month - couldn't wait to own it plus I prefer to not give Magnolia any more money after how they handed Let the Right One In.

The UK disc is region locked though. Fantastic film. Should've been nominated in multiple categories.

For some reason I thought this was going to get a Criterion release - I guess not.

not sure why people thought this would get the criterion treatment...magnolia's never done anything with them before.

Likely because of LVT.

I'll probably get it when the price drops. I liked this movie less the 2nd time I watched it.
