Does anybody have any information when the Kelly Preston movie, Mischief will be released on blu-ray?

I emailed Anchor Bay about this and Only the Lonely a few weeks back and they replied that they had no plans for a Blu-ray release for either.

It can't hurt if others email expressing interest either given AB has the rights back to these and other Fox titles again.

Mischief seems like it would be a strong seller for them so I imagine it is more a matter of when.

Starz/Anchor Bay has very little interest in exploiting catalog properties on Blu-ray.

I just watched this on Laserdisc tonight and the one thing that really stuck out to me in terms of this not having seen a blu ray release is the music. I imagine clearances for the music in this movie would be quite pricy if that's a factor that would come into play. Probably the same reason we've never seen a release of Lemon Popsicle in the U.S.

Nevermind, putting the laserdisc back in the sleeve, noticed it was 20th Century Fox... good luck getting Disney to release that...

I have the Anchor Bay DVD laying around somewhere and that’s good enough for me.

Kelly Preston was indeed the highlight. Every dork in the 1980s probably wished they were Doug McKeon. His sex scene with her with both hot and awkward :lol:

She went to my high school. Her brother Chris was in our class. There was a huge buzz around campus when that movie came out "Let's go see Chris' sister NAKED!". :lol:
