Re: The Official Twilight Time Blu-ray Thread
You never actually spilled the details on this. You've made snide remarks but never actually said what you got, how long it took etc. Care to share the details or are we just going to believe that Full Moon sent you a grip of money for supporting their shitty little film?
Because you are the only person I've ever heard make mention of this deal. Ever.

Yep, John Carpenter's Christine is coming from TT, but be warned that it will be a barebones release, so don't throw away that DVD with the extras.

Re: The Official Twilight Time Blu-ray Thread
"GizmoDVD" has made this (and other threads) entirely unreadable. How long is this going to be allowed to continue? How many times can one person attempt make the same point before it becomes completely disruptive?

Oh good, I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought that way.

It looks like NOTLD could sell out before it is even released. They have a limit of 2 per customer with less than 500 copies left.

I know I'm gonna catch Hell for this, but I cancelled my NOTLD 90 bluray.... because Vudu has it in HDX for $14.

I'd consider ordering the 1990 Night of the Living Dead if it had some more special features and didn't cost so much. I know Twilight Time is a smaller company but I just have a hard time justifying paying that much.

Re: The Official Twilight Time Blu-ray Thread
IMO, it's not a very good movie and not worth the cost. I have a few TT BDs and am grateful for the releases but this one just isn't good enough. I wonder how many were sold to people who plan to resell them instead of keeping them.

Though I understand the gripes on the price, but at $30 plus shipping NOTLD sells out before release. Not too shabby. Granted that a number of those sales are for resale but those will sell for even more.

Re: The Official Twilight Time Blu-ray Thread
Producing such a limited run of NOLD is either genius or folly on their part. My guess is 1/4 to 1/3 of those bought will be scalped at ridiculous prices on Ebay / Amazon. If they had produced a run of 5 or 6000 copies, those scum known as scalpers have found this a lot less profitable exercise. The genius part is that maybe a limited run will backfire for the scalpers; as their supply will force them to "compete" with each other!
The movie is great, but I would have preferred the '68 version.

I too wonder how this is going to work for the scalpers, as I do not think this movie is nearly as popular as its brisk sales dictate. There are a whole lot of scalpers to be in the mix.
