I can't remember for sure, but it's over a foot long and maybe 8-9 inches high. It's smaller than the Blade Runner briefcase and the WB gift sets.
Mine has those marks on the front and back. It's not too noticeable. I think my number is under 500, but I can't remember for sure.

Amazon UK decided to ship me a new one, but now they want the old one shipped back...and I have to pay the postage - isn't that going to cost me more than the item is worth?!

I received my deluxe version of Hitchcock (Amazon.uk) yesterday and I'm very happy with it. Excellent display packaging.
The first thing I did was took out a few titles that were heavily criticized for there PQ and directly compared them to the DVDs from the set released 6 years ago (the one with the velvet case). The Man Who Knew Too Much and Family Plot look sooo much better on Blu-ray, the difference is very striking. So while these titles don't compare favorably with the better transfers in the BLu-ray set, they DO compare very favorably with the DVD versions.
My guess is that most (if not all) of these transfers are from the same master and the relative upgrade from the DVD will be about equal and the difference in PQ between titles in the Blu-ray set will likewise be about the same as the difference in PQ among titles in the DVD set.

I received my Hitchcock Limited Edition Set No.2034 yesterday. My shippingbox had damage as well but the set itself was not affected at all and is in good condition. I did notice that handling the black book cover even gently still left visible fingerprint marks throughout the surface. Hopefully with time these imprints will disappear. I've only played the SABOTEUR disc, but am impressed by the transfer so far.
I have a feeling this set will not be available in the US, so I'm glad I got this when it was in pre-order two weeks ago from Amazon.uk.

I had resisted checking the tracking ever since my order dispatched on 11/10, but I finally succumbed to the power of the thread and checked yesterday morning.
It was in Seattle, and it arrived end of day!
It was in a large cardboard box with filler paper, and appears free of cracks and damage. The shrink is split along the back side, but still holding on. I'm satisfied.

I'm convinced here in DC - mail goes through more scrutiny from overseas than any other state.

Got mine finally yesterday. Somehow landed #0040, was pleasantly surprised to land such a low number.
Set looks great, love all the extras.

Mine shipped out on Nov 10th, still nothing. Getting worried.
Still estimated Nov 30th. And this is to Indiana, too, so it's not like I live on the North Pole.

Dial H For Hitchcock?
After reading through this entire thread, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned "Dial H for Hitchcock"! The fact that such an excellent documentary was excluded from the bonus features of the Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection is a glaring omission by Universal.
Has anyone heard of plans for a future blu-ray release?
