Yeah that looks like that. I'm pretty sure the US set will be the same too. Similar to the Kubrick set.

re: The Official Alfred Hitchcock on Blu-ray & UHD Thread
Anyone know if the dvd set's bonus disc content will be included in the new blu collection?
I see that the Psycho and The Birds docs are on their respective discs. But what about the AFI tribute or the interview segment? I've looked over the spec list and didn't see them included.

Amazon.uk has been sending me a ton of promotional mail ever since I ordered both the Universal Classic Monsters standard set and the Hitchcock fancy set. Their latest mail suggested I might be interested in the UCM coffin set and the Hitchcock standard set. I admit they are correct.

I regards to the two UK sets. Would I be right in think the discs themselves are exactly the same but just the paper extras set them apart?

There is someone in the process of reviewing the UK set posting and there are some troubling concerns
Not sure what his background or equip is

Excuse my ignorance but I wasn't aware that you could change fonts, spellings, etc. from the transfer...
Anyways, it will be a freaking shame if Universal doesn't do anything about those mistakes.

Would like to say I'm surprised but I could see this coming.
Universal up to their old games.
It's particularly frustrating since they've had some of the 100th anniversary releases that have been decent or better than decent, but others continue to show gross evidence of digital meddling. A shame.
The misspelled names in the credits is a huge embarrassment.
I haven't pre-ordered this or the monsters collection, and am not in a hurry to do so at this point.

Think I'm gonna cancel for now, and wait.
Cancelled, and just realized it's no longer available (the UK Limited edition)..let's hope I don't regret that decision.

That Perpee guy on criterionforum.org is a smart cat who really knows his stuff. His eloquent and precise description of all of the problems he is seeing unfortunately confirm by suspicions about this box set since it was announced.
Universal sure loves their DNR software. It's some bad shit. It's different than the type of blur filtering DNR used on Patton but it's almost as bad. It tries to detect "noise" in subsequent frames and average it out and creates this crawling artifact that acts like fuzzy aura that hovers around moving objects and moves when they move. It's bad on The Sting and the new Out of Africa. They even used it on Jaws but it's usually very hard to see. Even if it's hard to see, it's proof that they used it and they fucking should not have.
I shudder to see what it looks like on the grainy optical-fest that is The Birds.

This really makes me sad. I'd cancel, but when are we going to actually get better releases coming from Universal? Probably never.
