I'm only familiar with three of these, but The Dark Mirror and Secret Beyond the Door are both pretty great. I've also heard good things about A New Leaf.

I'll buy Secret, but I'll have to give my Dark Mirror DVD a second spin first - I don't think it made too big an impression on me. The other four are films I'd see (and will track down now that Olive has made me aware of them) but likely wouldn't purchase.

So great to see interesting obscure films like Child's Play and Man on a Swing coming out on Blu-ray. I will be picking up all of these except Man-Trap.

re: The Olive Films Blu-ray Thread

Olive films releases have been hit or miss for me. I applaud their efforts at getting catalog releases out in 1080p. Most of their recent Blus have not had any digital manipulation of the source (yay! no DNR), but the big caveat is that they don't utilize all the space on these single-layer releases, most of the films have taken only 16 GB of the 25 available. All have been single-layer so far. Cranking up the bitrates would better support the catalog films' grain structure, and the films would be better served. Why don't companies utilize all the resources available, especially when it dosen't cost them anything extra to do it?

No, the code is only good through 6/24, and pre-orders become available a month before release date. The next round of Olive titles, all coming 9/18:

Cyrano de Bergerac (1950)
A Double Life (1947)
Love Exposure (2008)
Macbeth (1948)

more info

I'm in for Double Life (love the cover!) and likely Macbeth.

No word on extras, but there was this, regarding length and transfer:

Olive Films for the win.

Macbeth is one of the two Orson Welles films I haven't watched yet - super excited that I'll be able to watch it for the first time on Blu-ray.

A release date for Letter from an Unknown Woman would make me very happy indeed, though I'll hold onto all of the R2 Ophuls discs for the commentaries and Tag Gallagher video essays.

I have the (legit!) Korean import. It's surprisingly good and rather inexpensive through several channels (I got a copy for ~$6), though it's obviously not worth your time at this point.

Agreed.
But aren't there 2 or 3 different cuts of MACBETH out there?
And it had a long and eventful production. If there were ever a film that needed a "Making of..." documentary, it's this one.
