I found the 1 hour and 59 minutes it already is to be insufferably long. Major pass. I really wanted more out of this film.

I'm interested if it fleshes out Wilde's character and the other aliens better

Ill check it out again

I mean, as far as Favreau goes, at least it wasn't as amateur hour as Iron Man 2 was

I missed it in the theater. I'll give it a rent when it comes out on Blu but please tell me that's not a spoiler!

Re: Cowboys versus Aliens extended (December 6th)
I saw the previews for this when it was in the theatre. Really not into the Western / Alien thing. And i love Westerns, just not with Aliens in it. Seemed really off to me. So I kind of ignored the movie so I won't be getting it. Although, if i see something that I like from it ( haven't yet ) I could try this out on a blind buy sometime in the future. But as for now, no thanks.

Really let down by this movie. I'll pick it up on the cheap. Mostly interested in the extras, and those Conversations with Jon Favreau seem pretty good.

that's a shitty cover if it's the actual.

I'll be picking this up. Really enjoyed the movie. But that cover is just horrible. Reminds me of Race to Witch Mountain cover.

Definite buy for me once it hits $7 or so.

Re: Cowboys versus Aliens extended (December 6th)
I hope it's not so much extended as it is a completly different cut of the movie with major scene revisions. The finished film feels like a bunch of reshot footage combbled together over the carcass of a much better movie.

If so, hopefully they not only flesh out Wilde's characters and the aliens better but they also remain consistent with Ford's character
(he shouldn't have suddenly turned into Daniel Craig's best friend)
and provide a far more satisfying ending
(amnesia or no, that asshole son was never redeemed or worth all that fuss).
