I have all 6 of these on DVD (along with 543 others), I have no plans to switch to blu-ray just for Star Wars. -kd5-

Obviously the OP question wasn't suggesting that people would be switching solely for Star Wars; rather, that Star Wars may be leading people to make the jump.

Interpret it how you like, I interpreted it to mean, would this new Star Wars blu-ray release be the deciding factor for people who had up till now been holding off which is basically what I intended my post to address as it pertains to me, although it's really not that big of a deal either way... -kd5-

I got my first Blu-Ray player the day the Simpsons Movie was released. Oddly eventhough I have a player I can't help but skip this release - I have them all on DVD and I don't watch them nearly enough to justify the double-dip.

I'm pretty sure most us movie geeks on this site have already made the switch a while ago!

I was also thinking if they released it in 3D on BD that might convince me to make the jump to 3D as well.......:(
