Yeah but remember...it was shot to be PG-13, so don't expect anything amazing.

Green Lantern: First Flight and The Incredible Hulk are the only two superhero films that came in green BD cases.

The French version Rob Zombie's Halloween II has an orange BD case.

GOD I hated this movie. I'm buying it used because I'm a DC junkie, but that doesn't mean I have to watch it! I'm buying it just so I can throw it out!!!!

For whatever its worth, another site listed the extended cut as 123 minutes, and UK + German retailers list it as being 14 minutes longer

14 minutes of what? More scenes of GL sitting on his couch looking at the lantern and getting pep talks from his friends?

Hopefully, a 3d copy (even though I have no need for it) shows up at my local swap shop on the cheap.
The 2D cover has the same artwork as the 3D one.

Re: Green Lantern - 10/14/11

I love GL and I loved the movie.

GL has always been one of my fav comic charters. He was at his best when Mike Grell was drawing him from 1976–78.

Sure there things they could have changed in the movie, but it was awesome to sit there and watch GL fly around on the screen.

If the 3D had the extra free minutes added I would have picked it up, but the 2D sound like the better deal. I would have watch it once or twice in 3D, then only watch it in 2D after that.

You could always burn it on a BBQ and film it for several minutes of hilarity on youtube...

Best Buy pricing: $17.99 for the single disc version, $22.99 for the standard combo pack, which is an exclusive steelbook.

I think I am sold too. Had no idea this was getting a steelbook. Both me and wifey really liked this movie (despite the naysayers), so I don't mind paying a little extra for this.

Gees, the 3D Version isn't even listed in the best buy or Target ad. So $30...pass.

Do you really need the BD3D, especially for a film that was noted to have a lackluster 3D conversion in the first place? I hate Blu-ray.com's reviewers, but even they hated the BD3D disc noting it had a subpar transfer.

The only two live-action post-converts I have in my collection are Piranha 3D and Thor, only because I was able to score both for under $20. [Then again, I don't think I've paid more than $20 for a 3DBD at this point.]

Yesterday from Overstock.com where they had a one-day only sale on specific 3D titles (Thor, The Lion King, and Pirates of the Caribbean 4).

Re: Green Lantern - 10/14/11

Does anyone know what the sku for the steelbook for is? Bestbuy.com has two listings at $22.99 which makes it kind of confusing. I would like the preorder the steelbook, but don't want to screw up and pick the wrong one.

Someone on blu-ray.com found the steelbook out early today. It is in a DVD sized case.

Not that the regular slipcover is any better (since it's somehow worse) but that is one horrible looking cover.
