Destroy All Monsters & Godzilla v. Megalon - Fall '11
From blu-ray.com:
Media Blasters released news today of their upcoming Destroy All Monsters and Godzilla vs. Megalon Blu-rays.
No further details are known about special features or what versions of the films will be included on the Blu-rays, and while the release date is still unknown for Godzilla vs. Megalon, Destroy All Monsters is rumored to arrive in October.

Day 1, no question.
I just hope MB doesn't fuck these up too bad.

Did anyone order DAM? I held off only because MB never has their shit together. From what I've been reading online, sounds like they still don't. Amazon doesn't seem to know if this is delayed or not, but no one has received a shipping notice AFAIK.

My order shows 10/27 as the estimated delivery date, but no "shipping soon" status, just "not yet shipped"

Another month. Not a big deal. I've ordered some of Godzilla's US missing-in-action films on blu-ray from Japan. This is the last one I need so I don't mind waiting plus it's half the price of those imports and will have subtitles and English dubbing too.

Media Blasters has updated their Facebook page to say that the audio for Megalon was not up to standards on the Bluray so that has been delayed. The DVD is apparently okay.

Just FYI - Media Blasters posted this on their Facebook page (regarding Megalon):
You may want to pick up a copy of Destroy All Monsters now if you haven't already. Seem to be plenty still available on Amazon.
Sorry guys but Toho still has not approved and they are upset about DAM also. In our effort to pack this with lots of extras that folks requested Toho is now making us hold on re-orders of DAM and MvG release. We are now trying to come to a settlement with Toho.

Luckily I just got DAM in the mail the other day but if they fuck with me on Megalon I'm going to lose it.

I just got my DAM from Amazon today. I ordered it right after MB posted that message on Facebook. It probably won't go out of print but...just incase.

Just used my DeepDiscount $5 coupon to grab DAM. It is safely on my DVD shelf.
The buzz over at TohoKingdom is that Toho is upset that the extras on the DAM disc are too good.

From Keith Aiken (as quoted by Ryan Clark on Facebook):
"When the deals for these films were made, Toho didn't want any extra content on the discs while Media Blasters wanted to include a lot of extras. So there was a lot of back and forth betwee...n the two companies until they came to an agreement. There were some stipulations from Toho about what content could or couldn't be advertised, which is why there were some extras on the discs that were mentioned in the press release but not on the final cover art.
But when DAM came out Toho complained to Media Blasters that there were more extras than they'd expected there to be. My understanding is that the main issue was with stills, because Toho would charge for each photo used and therefore the more images, the bigger the payment to them. Media Blasters said they're willing to pay the difference so its a matter of coming up with an acceptable figure.
Rather than put out MEGALON now and risk a repeat of what happened with DAM, both sides want MEGALON pre-approved before it goes to press. Like I said before, I haven't heard of any specific issues with MEGALON... the delay is that Toho is focused on DAM and wants that resolved before turning their attention to the next release. And once Toho and Media Blasters are on the same page with DAM, MEGALON should go much more smoothly.
All the legal stuff sure is fun!"

Aside from George Lucas and the original Star Wars trilogy, I can't think of another film rights holder who tries harder to *not* have their product put out in a decent manner than Toho.
