The Hitcher (1986) how 'bout a Blu?

anyone know of any plans to release the original The Hitcher on Blu-ray?

this is one of my favorite movies of the 80's and i have the somewhat superior British DVD, but wow! wouldn't a nice extras laden Blu-ray be nice?
