No trilogy? How unusual. I will get this and hopefully the others are released individually and not in a set.

Day one. And hell, I might even watch the DVD right now.

"Le Mans" is coming out too! Good to see Paramount getting back into older movies. I'll vote for them with my dollars.

Of course I just bought the DVD a few weeks ago because I figured that was the kind of title unlikely to see the light of day on Blu Ray (especially since Paramount is involved). Glad to be proven wrong and hopefully Paramount will increase their output of catalog titles on Blu.

I love the special edition dvds. Can't imagine how much better they could do the blu-ray other than better picture.

They better do a better job than 48 Hours the blu does not look much better than the DVD which looked horrible the way it was. Maybe when it hits <$10.00 I might upgrade.

Great news. I recently watched BHC III for the first time, so don't mind that the trilogy is not being released ;)

You can't have a trilogy with just two movies. Beverly Hills Cop III does not exist in my world. :)

Does anybody own the 3 movie collection the overseas release?

You can get it for less than $20 at Amazon.

I wonder if the transfers for parts 2 and 3 are any good.

Never picked that up, mostly because I never want to watch 3 again. I was bummed Paramount bailed on physical media on their catalogs to the point they never released the second one. I actually liked it a lot. I’d be interested in knowing if those transfers are any good.

Re: Beverly Hills Cop- May 17

Rocky collection had Rocky 5 and the Superman collection blu-ray sets had parts 3 and 4.

Maybe if Beverly Hills Cop 4 comes out they will release the entire trilogy on Blu-ray in the U.S.

I read a Amazon review and that person said parts 2 and 3 were close to DVD picture quality so I guess that answers the question.

I do. The transfers are fine.

but would the transfers look fine on a 65" or bigger TV?

65" is what I own. There's grain evident in the first two (not so much in III), but that's better than being overly DNR'd.

Now I feel stupid for buying the UK version of the trilogy two months ago and this new version has better artwork.

Hope this new set is under $20.

There’s talk that the 4K UHD will be available only on digital. No disc.

Re: Beverly Hills Cop- May 17

It's increasingly odd how Paramount gets stuff remastered in 4K, but never releases a UHD. I have the trilogy on Blu-ray already...looks good enough that a new transfer isn't going to get me to double dip.

It looks like a solid transfer
