Paramount Home Entertainment has announced The Fighter for Blu-ray release on March 15, in a BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack. This movie is based on the true story of two brothers (played by Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg) who, against all the odds, come together to train for a historic title bout. It's nominated for seven Academy Awards (Christian Bale - Actor in a Supporting Role, Amy Adams - Actress in a Supporting Role, Melissa Leo - Actress in a Supporting Role, Directing, Film Editing, Best Picture and Original Screenplay).

I missed this at the theater so I will likely give it a rental and pick it up if it is really good.

Nice! This is a definite purchase. My favorite movie of 2010, and there were alot of great movies in 2010.

HDRoom also mentions there will be a single disc release that has the same features. I'll probably grab that cheaper version.

All I want is the blu-ray version. Nothing more. So the single disc release for me as well.
