I'll probably update Alice, Sweet Alice depending on how reviews for the disc are.
Same with Oldboy, which I'd be upgrading from the US Blu-Ray release Tartan did ages ago.

How are the English subtitles for this release as far as translation? I'd get the Arrow version but for your same reasons I don't want to buy a Region B player.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
Wouldn’t be surprised if Arrow ultimately ended up doing a North American set for Oldboy down the road. It does look packed, but a lot of those supplements were in the tin-case edition mentioned by the other Oldboy and I’m just not sure how much more the film can be dissected and analyzed. Mind you, it’s Arrow so I’m sure the effort will be substantial.

iTunes has all the Arrow Video movies marked down to $3.99 (HD). I don't know how long this sale will last.

I'm stoked about Ringu but it's a shame their UK version is Region B. It's much cheaper to get it from the UK than their US releases, especially if their disks are region free

Yeah just because of that combo does not make it a great movie. I didn't care for it at all. Run of the mill thriller but because of the subject matter is was a bit controversial at the time. YMMV

Same here.
Apparently these are the guys behind the in-progress ROBODOC documentary, and the earlier "You're So Cool, Brewster" doc for FRIGHT NIGHT. Would've been nice to see it included in this set, but I'm sure it will be hefty enough to justify its own release.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a getting a new edition from a 4K source. I think that one is exclusive to the UK, tough. Supervised by Terry Gilliam, too.

Let's stop releasing the same films 4, 5 and 6 times! As much as I like ROBOCOP, I'm not going to quadruple-dip. The last edition is good enough, on a BD50, with a great picture and excellent video bitrate. I have a bucklet list of dozens and dozens of holy-grail films which Arrow should be releasing instead! They're milking the same cow... Let's get some fresh meat out already.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
I know. It’s so fucking enticing, but there’s got to be limits. Mostly why I kicked the SteelBook habit. But still do like the new stuff and new restorations...

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
Despite having the Fox release of Robocop, which is a good disc I’ll upgrade. I like the artwork on the Steelbook, but prefer a standard case to go alongside my Scream Factory releases of the sequels so I’ll get that version.
