In some cases, Arrow has been known to drop alternate cuts from subsequent editions. The UK editions of DEEP RED and PHENOMENA come to mind, possibly others? I know the U.S. edition of DEEP RED also has two cuts on two discs, but it was a limited edition as well, and now OOP I think, so that could change when the one-disc rolls around.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

I went ahead and ordered Waterworld. Crimson Peak keeps calling but I can't spend that much on a one disc set.

There's the second cut which I believe is the edited for Television version (didn't watch it) and the third version ("Ulysses") contains the same extended material but is not edited for content or language (watched it).

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

I just got Waterworld ordered off of Walmart's website with an in store pickup and it ended up being cheaper than if I would have bought it through Amazon. I'm hoping I can get the Batman Animated Series bluray this week.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

I almost ordered Crimson Peak and should have when I ordered Water World because it seems like it is now hard to get and going for around 50 bucks and up. Oh well! Makes it an easier pass now.

Crimson Peak is 50 on Amazon. Water World might still be 35 but that is not what I was referencing.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

May stuff.

I think IN THE AFTERMATH and TRAPPED ALIVE are scraping the bottom a bit, but I suppose everything has its fans and the extras seem comprehensive, especially for the latter.

May

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

In the Aftermath is available from Code Red for only $10.99. I've never seen the movie so I'm not sure if it'd be worth Arrow's premium pricing.

Yakuza Law (And I’m assuming it’s the same as “Yakuza Law Lynching”) is a cool Yakuza anthology.

Arrow on their upcoming Robocop release:

No 1.66:1 option (not possible without going back to raw scans or starting again, plus was a concession to 4x3 TVs when Criterion released the film). No Robodoc due to scheduling and legal issues though we are working with the producers on some new extras! There are also no plans for a UHD release at this time.

We can't wait to tell you more about it later in the year!

I never thought the unrated footage inserted back into the movie was too noticeable. Its not like it was Silent Night Deadly night.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Damn, when I saw the title The Chill Factor, I was momentarily uplifted that it might be the gripping 1973 TV movie better known as A Cold Night's Death. That would be a revelation, but no such luck; instead it's some cheapjack 1993 horror trash.

Oldboy AND Cruising! Nice. I wonder what this edition of Oldboy will have to offer, besides a remastered picture.

Bummed that Oldboy is UK only, but I'm happy enough with the various versions I already have.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Holy fuck!!! My namesake and greAtest movie of all time. Those docs sound amazing!!! Love Chan-wook so so much! Love Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (Admit didn’t love Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance as much, but need to revisit. Only saw once). But Lady was brilliant, especially fade to black version and I saw both versions. Still need to get to Thirst and The Handmaiden which I imported. Couldn’t get into Stoker. Fuck want this now! Up for preorder, please post. Thanks in advance.
