Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

It will not even let you order the movie unless you have Amazon Prime the Canadian version.

^That comes and goes. I'm not a prime member, and already ordered/received it as have a number of other forum members. Look at the "International Blu-ray deals" thread.

You could probably sign up for the 30 day free trial then cancel before the end of the 30 days. It's quite easy to do if you haven't already.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

I did order it after they removed the Prime Canada restriction. It cost me right around 15 US dollars, including the shipping fee.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Finally a "SE" treatment of Waterworld. I'll be looking to get the standard version with the extras. No interest in the LE with the inferior longer cut I already have on DVD.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Extras for Bloody Birthday. Looks like little if anything was carried over from Severin's version, but they did dig up the the Max Rosenberg interview (in which he disparages the director somewhat, as I recall) from the old VCI disc.

High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) presentation
Original Uncompressed mono audio
Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

I’m assuming Elvira will be Region locked. Wasn’t a U.S. company supposed to put it out this year?

does it make the movie better? i have old version blu, but remember seeing it once and it was ok. i like KC and DH, but this wasn't as exciting as I thought it should be. been awhile though, but wanted to give another chance, thus the purchase. kinda like a water logged Beyond Thunderdome...

D'oh. Now the source for that news is backing off and saying Elvira is region B. Not sure what the miscommunication was.

What region will Waterworld be? Where could I go in the future to find this info?

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Since they're releasing it in the US and UK, it should be all-region.

The ad featured several messages back shows a US flag under Waterworld, which means it will be Region A playable. The same with Bloody Birthday. Elvira shows UK only, though some are saying it will be US playable, and others are saying that's a false rumor.
