Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
I'm not saying that authoritatively based on any inside knowledge. However, it doesn't look to me like a deliberately applied blue tint - more like other color layers have faded, leaving the blue overemphasized. The bleached flesh tones remind me of what faces look like on my projector if I turn the green and red controls way down.
Generally, when a colorist adds a blue or teal tint intentionally, those colors will look more saturated than what I see in that trailer.
Given the post in the Arrow Video blog about the film elements for these movies being in poor shape, I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt that this is the best they could do with them.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
I've never seen blue color fading. Seen my share of reddish/pink tint fading though. A good tell for color fading is fade outs. When a source material is damaged with color fading it will get worse when a scene fades out. Faded color makes a film brighter, as the scene begins to fade there is a brief flicker of it getting brighter before going black.

How is Arrow usually on movies they have as exclusives in regards to transfers? Big fan of Pulse & would love to finally see it clearly and not blurry

Easily one of my more prized Blu-rays. While it hurts the resale value, I am glad more people will be able to pick it up. It's a great set.

Some interesting new titles from Arrow.
Here's the extras for The Guyver
I remember seeing The Guyver back in the early 90's. I recall it was a direct to video release and was quite cheesy, but fun. Really surprised to see it get a big release on BD.
Brian T. mentioned that Arrow's UK site usually has a sale around November. I'll look into maybe getting a few things then.

Damn I was very excited when I saw PULSE is getting a release, only to have my hopes crashed down when I see it's the 2004 film, as opposed to the wonderful film entitled PULSE from 1988.
Arrow should consider that one. Who doesn't love electricity going crazy?

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
One thing to keep in mind with Donnie Darko is that Richard Kelly made a dumb decision to shoot the entire movie on film stock intended for extreme low-light photography. Even the daylight scenes are shot that way. Doing so made the picture very soft and killed the contrast. He said at the time that he felt it made the movie look "dreamy" or something.
A new 4k scan may help somewhat, but the movie's photography will always have issues.

Cool news but I already bought the UK version. Looks like I now have an extra one to sell. This gold backer thing is really paying off.

Looks like I still need the Anchor Bay DVDs for the exclusive extras, but I'm definitely getting this. I wonder what's the rights situation with Part III. I bet Lionsgate lost the rights because I doubt they would license it out to Arrow and for cheap either.

I still have my Lament Configuration Box Set (BD/DVD) that Anchor Bay released, so having that and purchasing this upcoming release will make me really happy.
