Robots, March 22nd

One of our family's favorites. It has great animation and it's going to be great to see it in Blu. To me a totally underrated pic that came out at a time when people wouldn't go see CGI movies unless they were done by Pixar or contained the name Shrek. Not a classic by any stretch but a fun movie nonetheless.

This one was on my list of most-wanted blu's.

Now if Dreamworks would just release "Flushed Away" on blu...

The director talked about a PG-13 cut he had done, way back when the DVD was first being released. I thought it was sad that never came to fruition, but who knows how much I'd care if they finally got around to it now.

I wouldn't say this is true. Ice Age was successful a few years before by the same studio. A Shark Tale made more money a few months previous, and Madagascar would make more money a few months hence.

I remember seeing this movie at IMAX. It was soooooo amazing and I kept thinking what a fantastic movie. But when it came out on dvd, I couldn't get over the fact that the dvd experience would only seem subpar to what i saw at IMAX. Perhaps now with blu-ray, I can finally get over that paranoia. Hopefully it gets kick-ass treatment.
