Where is the Sopranos 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th seasons on BD?

Where is the Sopranos 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th seasons on BD? I have to assume they will eventually make it to BD. I am half temped to sell seasons 1 and 6 on BD and wait for the complete series set on blu-ray. I can only hope the packaging will be as nice as the Seinfeld series packaging is.

Poor sales of both Seasons 6 and 1 likely made HBO/Warner rethink future Seasons. Catalog like this just does not sell.

I just sold my season six sets... I'm holding on to Season 1 though. I hope they either continue to put them out individually in packaging that matches season one or they go for a complete series release. My bet is on a complete series set coming out around next Christmas or so, but we'll see. It's a matter of time. Most people are probably holding out for an entire set.

Weren't the two parts of season 6 like $125 each at initial release? -eek-

Yeah, HBO is just ridiculous with their MSRP's.

I've owned this set twice (DVD season sets and the box set), but I'd re-buy if I could have it on blu.

It seems to be that we're in a strange holding pattern with a lot of shows; studios won't release individual seasons citing low sales, but we've wised up and have decided we'd rather just wait for the inevitable complete series than to keep up with the show only to have everything we've bought collected in a more interesting package with exclusive other stuff later.

I, for one, wasn't about to double-dip by buying the complete series on DVD, expecting a Blu-ray release within a couple years. I'm pretty sure there are quite a lot of Sopranos fans like me, with the seven season boxes on our shelves just waiting for a complete Blu box. I'm not interested in upgrading piece by piece just so HBO can drop another box on me. If we're gonna do this, then I say let's get on with it.

I used to check every once in a while for any updates on the release of S2., Now I've just assumed it's never coming out. It's been over a year since the release of S1

Same here. If I ever buy anything Sopranos on BD, it's going to be a CS box.

Ditto. They recently released a complete Deadwood. So maybe this is next. Also would love a complete Six Feet Under.

The MSRP on a full series Deadwood vs. a full series Sopranos Blu-ray set... would be a BIG difference, to say the least. HBO knows they won't be having people buy it in droves at the cost it would have to be at. Deadwood was three seasons, Sopranos was 6 (7, technically). Do the math.

I can do the math; I just think it's entirely irrelevant. Will The Sopranos be more expensive? Of course it will. But I don't think at this point anyone is expecting it to be a blind buy kind of purchase. HBO has to know that they've got a market for a complete series on Blu-ray. The question is whether they consider that market worth the cost of creating the HD transfers and producing the discs.

What we're saying is that HBO seems to be of the mind that slow individual season sales are a sign that not enough of us want the show on Blu-ray, and what we're saying is that after a decade of buying individual season releases just to have them drop a complete series DVD box on us, we're not doing it a second time. We know it'll be expensive as hell, but we'd rather wait for a complete series box than to double-dip on individual seasons just so someone in HBO's accounting division will conclude that they should, in fact, release said complete series box.

I am happy enough with the big box set on DVD.
