Went to Target and used Bunny Munny, DMR and instant coupon. Got the 4-disc and original for under $30. Score!

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

I couldn't get my DMR code to print, so I headed over to Target with just the BunnyMunny coupon, and got that to work, so a total of 13 dollars off for the Tron: Legacy 4 disc set/Original.

I must say the packaging on the Tron Legacy set is nice. The case itself is a little thicker like you'd see on the Blade Runner set or Criterion blus, but it's a very nice plastic case. No discs touch, and the inside flipper tray has a slot to keep it in place. Very sturdy case. Overall I'm very satisfied with the 4 disc set. The only minor complaint I have is that the Lenticular cover sticks off the slipcover about a full mm. It doesn't sound like much, but considering how thin blu's are to begin with, it's kind of funny to look at.

Would've been nice is there was a DC for the Original Tron, but I can't complain, that also is a nice set.

So on the 4 disc Leagacy set - all the discs are 125 minutes each except for the DVD which is 126 minutes. I guess there's a secret minute somewhere.

did you remove the plastic tab that keeps the battery from touching the terminal, so that the battery doesnt drain before a buyer has a chance to open the package?

There's another $5 coupon from Target for buying any Disney BD $24.99 and up. Look over at the Target thread in the BD Bargains forum.

With a few exceptions (Disney Canon Releases and Pixar Releases) I'm actually trying to avoid having slipcovers for Blu-rays. I do like the lenticular covers though, so for Tron: Legacy I peeled the lenticular off of the slipcover and stuck it under the plastic sleeve. You can just barely see the edge of the actual artwork below it, but it looks pretty good.

For those that haven't had a chance to check it out, the original Tron looks and sounds great on blu. Yes, the effects are dated but they're exactly how I remember them. Usually when I buy a new movie I will pop it in for a minute to make sure all is fine. I couldn't stop watching and marveling at it.

I was able to get the Tron and Tron: Legacy 2 Disc Blu-ray editions today for a total of approximately $30 (with tax) by using the Tron Legacy coupon and receiving the $8 off "buy both" promotion.

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

Has anyone confirmed yet if the footage of Quorra (olivia wilde) on flynns ducati, and telling a member of the press she had just spoke to kevin flynn yesterday is an easter egg on the bluray? I know the easter egg scene of the instant messages between the Dilengers has been located, I am just curious if the Quorra scene is indeed on the disc since it was filmed at the same time as the Flynn lives footage.

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

Purchasing from BestBuy in Puerto Rico is a bizarre experience.

I didn't bother with the Disney $5 off coupon because they always scour the fine print in the hopes that it says "void in Puerto Rico". Once that turns out to not be the case, they then claim that BestBuy does not accept manufacturer coupons and only coupons issued from BestBuy itself. Total bullshit because, if that were remotely true, they wouldn't even bother to check the fine print of the Disney coupons and simply reject them without a second look.

Anyhoo, I went there today hoping to get the 5-disc set. All I saw were copies of the giftset which didn't appeal to me in the slightest and the $79.99 pricetag made it even less appealing. I finally found one copy of the the 5-disc version sans silly collectible case but it was $69.99 and did not ring up at any sale price.

As I was about to leave, I noticed they had the 4-disc set of Legacy at $24.99 and the original movie at $19.99. So $45 aint all that bad, especially since I'll sell the two DVD's at $10 each. When the cashier (who happens to have been an old friend of mine) rang up the items, the original movie came up at $14.99. So, including sales tax, I only paid $42.78 for a 6-disc collection and I'll be getting $20 back when I sell the DVD's.

I did try checking to see if the some special price rang up for the 5-disc set but it still rang up at $69.99.

This was likely due to the buy both and get $5 off...

Best deal I was able to find was at MovieStop...

Pre-ordered Monday night just before the midnight release.
Got both Tron films on blu/dvd combo for around 33 bucks w/tax, along with a full size poster and T-shirt.

No surprise, my order of Tron 5-disc set from Barnes & Noble was delayed. Now it's set to ship between 1-5 business days.

DC? You mean Director's Commentary? There is one. If you mean Director's Cut, the only deleted scenes are on the disc as extras. Maybe DC means something else that I'm not understanding.

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

I went to both BEST BUY and TARGET here in my city as well as both stores in a nearby college town, and nobody had "The Original Classic" by itself. The BEST BUY here did have a FLYNN'S Arcade T-shirt left, but only in Large which is too small for me, but neither store had any of the 2-Movie collections. The BEST BUY in the college town had both 5-disc collections (standard keepcase and special "disc" packaging") but only a couple of each. The TARGET had a couple of the "disc" sets too, but I opted for the cheaper keepcase version at BEST BUY, which they price-matched to $49.99.

Mine actually had a small lithograph of the iconic "TRON" image that used to be on T-shirts, pajamas, etc. back in the day. I don't think the TRON logo was on it, just TRON facing front with red highlights in the image. I haven't seen BB's ad, but I haven't seen anything posted here or in "Bargains" that mentions the lithograph or the T-shirt, although the t-shirt is available from their website. Anybody else get one of these, and if so, are they all the same, or are there different ones? Are they only in the 2-movie collections or do some of the cheaper Legacy-only sets have them?

I wasn't able to locate that rumored scene on the disc and on Wikipedia it says that that scene was replaced with Sam opening his jacket to reveal the "Flynn Lives" t-shirt, so it seems doubtful it will turn up at this point.

I played the 9 videos at the arcade screen though, which was pretty neat. Sort of annoying that once they're over there's not an in-disc way to get back to the main menu though...

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

When I went searching for TRON: Legacy and TRON classic on Tuesday, the Target in Honolulu did NOT have the classic and ONLY had the 2-disc TRON: Legacy. No 4-disc or 5-disc.

I drove to Best Buy in Honolulu and I was able to snag the last TRON Classic. Lots of 4-disc TRON: Legacy. Didn't see the 5-disc either. And Flynn's shirt only in large.
