BBC's The Office on Blu-Ray?
 

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone heard if there will be a release of the BBC version of The Office on blu-ray anytime in the near future?

The standard def edition is fairly cheap to come by but I don't want to spend $20 if it will be released in HD within the next year or so.

I think it's safe to go ahead and buy the whole series for $20 on DVD. I don't think it this is a series that will get a visual benefit from being on blu-ray.

Just get it now. Even Extras which Gervais did several years later has never been released on Blu Ray. Oddly enough though, the series finale of Extras is on Blu Ray in the UK only. But not the series of course.

The Office was shot on SD video and processed to look film-like, so the resolution just isn't there.

Good points. I'll prob pick it up for $20. This action will also most likely cause it to be announced on Blu within 3 days of puchase :-)
