Here we go again. Another Buddies movie, Treasure Buddies, comes in a Blu-ray/DVD combo next Spring 2012. It's listed in the pamplet that came in The Search for Santa Paws.

Here's a list of each. Added Spooky Buddies since it came out Halloween 2011 with no advertisments.

Is there a press release somewhere that says its coming out Spring '11? It would be Air Bud 10, if you want to number them so. Santa Paws is a spin-off.

Also, this isn't ridiculous. They make money. As long as they do they won't stop being made. There will be another one in the fall of '11, and quite possibly another Christmas one by the winter. Then another couple in '12. They are cheap and they make money.

You gotta think about it this way. First off, Air Bud, the original dog has been dead for years. I know that doesn't really mean anything, but he's dead. Second, does Disney even remember what the hell Air Bud was in the first place?? It was a dog who could shoot a basketball into a hoop. Did I agree with the first few sequels? Not really, but at least they were close to what the original was, he could play football, baseball, etc. Now they're just getting out of hand, they have nothing to do with sports or anything anymore, they're just random talking animal movies now. And Air Bud never talked in the first place. It just seems to me that Disney thinks kids would be bored if the animals don't talk.

I'm just getting my opinion on the "Buddies" movies out there, I couldn't care less if kids enjoy them or not, since I have no kids, but Air Bud the original one was a part of my childhood and to see them just continue to exploit it and change it in a way that is completely different from the original just to make money is a little irritating.

Disney doesn't make these movies. They just front the money. They don't care what Air Bud was. It's a product. If it makes you feel better you could just see the Buddies movies as a completely different franchise.

After reading these comments my husband and myself decided to join to send everyone on here a comment. First it seems like half of you do not even have children, so really if you don't like the movies why watch them? Secondly my family all sit down and watch these together and we enjoy the time together.


On a side note I take it none of you even remember that Air bud had puppies. These puppies are the puppies in the movie, well said to be his puppies.

Perhaps if you took the time to actually sit down with loved ones and watch the movies you could see the fun in them. My five year old son has been bugging me all day about the new buddies movie coming out and personally I am just excited as he is.


These buddies movies are both educational and great for the family! With two young children who are currently agreeing with me.

THE BUDDIES MOVIES ARE HERE TO STAY AND ARE GREAT MOVIES!!!!! GET OVER IT!!!!! ALSO GROW UP AND WHEN YOUR KIDS WANT TO WATCH THEM 100 TIMES THEN MAYBE YOU WILL SEE WHAT GOOD THEY DO!

Get off the computers and actually sit down with your family's and watch a movie!!! Perhaps you will find it very educational to do so.


Santa paws spin off..... Actually is like most movies, it is actually the story of Santa paws from the first movie Santa buddies. Now this movie had a great educational lesson! Even when things look bad , still believe in hope.

Man, the producers for this series sure are getting desperate when they take to our little board and chastize us for not watching complete horseshit for the holidays.

FWIW, my (eventual) kids will grow up on a steady diet of Rankin/Bass, Ntl. Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Gremlins and Die Hard. And they'll like it!

1) It's silly to say that you need to have Children to enjoy a Family Film. I think a good Family Film (see Pixar, lots of other Disney Films, Harry Potter series) can be enjoyed by all ages. Air Bud is not. Also we certainly can't watch Family films with our nieces and nephews. Nope...gotta procreate.

2) Why I watch them? I have a friend that has group movie nights. He likes to do Double Features and show 1 good film and then show his love for the Air Bud series. He apparently has a sick sense of humor or wants to see how far he can push his friendships.

3) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what films they do and don't like. You are entitled to yours, but to sign up for the boards just to tell us we are dumb for not liking them is a little silly.

4) If this is a troll, it's the best troll ever.

hey you stop talking cause air buds are the best movie ever made. I cried when i sawed the first few and my kids who live inside me right now but will eventually come out of my wifes bellybutton will watch these over and over and over again and we will do it together cause family sticks together and i will say again that they need to make different air bud films like air bud brokeback mlountain ok now stop and go spend time with youuure familie.

Seriously debating over the AIR BUD and Buddies movies. I havent laughed this hard in a long time. Thanks everyone.

And I had no idea that plants came on these forums, i thought they stuck to places like AICN and focused fluffing up and washing away the stink from bad movies not yet hitting the theatres. I never thought I d see one trying to defend a craptastic DTV movie.
