Which version of Beauty and the Beast to get?
 

Speaking of the two versions available on Blu-ray. One is listed at 2.35:1 and the other 1.78:1. I think the original was 1.85:1 which means the 2.35:1 version would be best? Doesn't seems to be any online resources to compare them, etc.

I don't think there is a 2.35:1 version. That might be a mistake. Websites tend to list things incorrectly a lot. My copy (blu) is listed as 1.78:1 and so is all the artwork I see on the net. Same goes for the DVD version.

Welcome to the forum! The above means this thread should be in the HD Talk area, which is for Blu-ray, etc., and not in the DVD Talk area, which is for DVDs!

Wherever you saw it listed as 2.35:1 was wrong. "Beauty and the Beast" is only available at 1.78:1. Both versions have a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy. One version is packaged in a Blu-ray case, the other in a DVD case. Why? To confuse consumers.
