I haven't had any issues with my Best Buy. Looks like they'll get my business Tues.

TRU also has the $10 off for buying both Incredibles/Cars offer. If they're better to deal with for coupons.

Definitely more convenient for me. Is Incredibles $25?

I'm afraid I'll be paying the full $35 directly to Disney for this one to fulfill my DMR account.

Enjoy your great deals, you bastards!

If I make the assumption that you meant "Disney Blu-ray Disc Club" rather than "DMR", using this as a fulfillment isn't as bad as it seems. The relative cost for a $29.95 (plus shipping charge) fulfillment is about $10, factoring in the enrollment titles one receives as part of the BD club membership. So you are paying about $15 by using The Incredibles as a fulfillment. Not as good as the multiple coupon deals in stores, but not horrible either.

I thought I'd give Target a try and if I get shot down on the coupons I'll just buy it as a fulfillment for the Disney club as you have done. With sales tax and all that, the difference is only a dollar or two.

The Disney Movie Club numbers:
Spoiler:

Enrollment: (5 x 20¢) + $8.95 + $11.95 = $21.90 [7 BDs]
Fulfillment: $29.95 + $3.95 (shipping) + $29.95 + $3.95 = $67.80 [2 BDs]
Total: $21.90 + $67.80 = $89.70 [9 BDs]

Average cost per BD: $89.70/9 = $9.967

When purchasing a fulfillment at a price greater than $29.95 the relative cost is $9.97 plus the premium paid. For The Incredibles, $34.95, that difference is $5 so the relative cost of using it as a fulfillment is $9.97 + $5 = $14.97 (plus whatever sales tax, if any, Disney collects in your area)

Just a heads up, if you have a Meijer store in your area, this (and "Cars") is available for $22.99, and you can always price-match at Target or Best Buy.

Re: Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles -> 4/12/11

I got the blu-ray yesterday and thought that it was odd that I could watch all the features. Well, I could watch most of them except for the interactive island tour thing. It wouldn't read on my laptop, but it did work on my standalone player. Not a big deal, really. It's not a very good extra to start with. But the picture quality of the movie is amazing. I wasn't thinking that it would be all that different but it was great. I'm really glad that they kept all the extras from the dvd. The commentaries are some of my favourite ones. And one of the best things about the blu-ray is the cover. It doesn't have that shiny, rainbow-y stuff for the cover like Peter Pan, Santa Clause 3, or a lot of the other dvds. I don't have too much luck with that stuff. It keeps chipping off of the corners, even when the dvds are sitting on the shelf and not being touched. Weird. Luckily, this is just thick posterboard material. Though, I don't like that it's not a regular blu-ray case. It's slightly larger than a normal one...which will make it difficult if I ever have to replace the case.

These are my favorite blu-ray cases. Have fun trying to fit 4 discs in a regular blu-ray case anyways. Just not gonna happen.

I don't mind those cases plus it's the same kind of case Disney normally uses on their Pixar releases save for the first two Toy Story BDs, IIRC.

(I hope this is ok to post this) I saw this deal for Cars and the Incredibles at TRU. http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthr...id=0&t=2845033

I went to TRU today with the coupons, bought Cars and the Incredible for $14.98. With taxes in my state it cost a total of $17.29.

I just finished the movie. It was even more amazing than I thought that it would be. I noticed details that I have never noticed before in the last six years of watching the dvd. It looked almost 3D.

Re: Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles -> 4/12/11

Just watched "The Incredibles" on BR and again I am amazed in how good the film is.

The VQ has improved, there is more detail and the "grain" has been taken away. The night scenes are clear and the blacks are solid now.

But, it is the story that makes "The Incredibles" a perfect movie. It made me feel like they were following around my family and used that as a model for the Pars.
-My name is Bob and my wife does not like coming to me to get me, she likes to yell my name "BOB!!!" when she needs me.
-My kids are great, but the can bug each other just like in the movie.
-I could not live without my wife.
-My kids were about the same age when the movie 1st came out, they are now 19 and 16.
-Girl is the oldest, son the younger one.

While I was watching the movie, I was forgetting it is a animated movie, it just seems so real.

Anyway, Pixar nailed it when the made "The Incredibles". I love it that they are not willing to do a 2nd rate job in their movies.

Hard to tell at first but I'd guess he has seen it before since he's "again" amazed by how good it is

Saw it in the Theater, bought it on the 1st day it came out on DVD and now own it on BR.

Also watched "Iron Giant" in the theater, sitting there I was floored on how the story unfolded. The movie had heart and soul, just like the Pixar movies.

Watching both movies, you can see how they were directed by the same person.

Superheros, about the same time period, brought tears to you eyes, was not really a kids movie...

It would be great to see "Iron Giant" make it to BR, but somehow I do not see that in the Crystal Ball.

I am a sucker for Super Hero movies, I would like to save the world one day - one life at a time.

It would have been good timing for Warner to release Iron Giant timed with the Incredibles release

Re: Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles -> 4/12/11

I wonder why Disney only does steelbooks for certain blu-rays. I have the Snow White and Beauty and The Beast ones. At first, I thought that they were only doing it for their most popular movies, but then Incredibles didn't have one. Know why ?
