Has anyone bought DAYS OF GLORY BD from UK and...?

The other main question I have is, will it play on all Blu-ray players? I've read where it will play on all or might not. I want to get "Days of Glory" and "Katyn" on Blu-ray and they're only alvailable in the UK. I know they're in PAL, But I might as well ask.

Days of Glory and Katyn are both region free, and thus will play on US Blu-Ray players. Neither of the films are PAL (the terms 'PAL' and 'NTSC' don't apply to HD content), but the special features on both discs are standard-def PAL, and are thus only playable on region free Blu-Ray players.

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered them from Amazon UK. Only $27 for both. Way cheaper than Amazon US and ebay. It looked like the only features on both are their Making-Of. I can live without it until I do get a region free player.

I received Days of Glory, Katyn, and Downfall BDs from Amazon UK. With $8.04 shipping, the total was $38.75 US Dollars.

If I would have ordered them from Amazon US, I would of had to get them from a third party. With the third party shipping of $8.94, the total would have been $62.51. Ebay would have been $90.00. Cheaper than Region 1 dvds.

Days of Glory played great. When I looked at the Special Features, which are in PAL, it's funny I can hear the audio with no picture. I've tried a couple PAL dvds in my blu-ray player and it says unknown disc.

the only problem you might have with some UK imports is that there might be forced PAL trailers or ads priro to the menu. Depending on your player, you may not be able to play those discs.

I blind bought "Katyn" from Amazon.co.uk because of the stellar review bluray.com gave it and very pleased with the film and PQ. Which "Days of Glory"? There are few titles on IMDB. And how is the BD?

I think he means the french film, also known as Indigenes. Also reviewed on blu-ray.com. No lossless audio but superb picture.

Days of Glory from 2006 and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.

All 3 played great.

I'm thinking about ordering The Pianist BD from them. Don't know if Universal or Lion's Gate will release a BD for the US.

darkhawk,

if you can afford the almost double price, the new 2 disc Studio Canal set of the Pianist is much better than the single disc.
