"Walkabout" Blu Playback Issues?
Just seeing if anyone else has experienced this issue. I purchased the Criterion Blu-ray of the movie "Walkabout" yesterday. When I put it in my Sony BDP-N460 player, it shows up as "Unknown" on the players menu screen, and I get this error message:
http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...2/DCP_0532.jpg However, it plays fine in my sons PlayStation 3 and the older Sony BDP-S350 player I have in the bedroom. The BDP-N460 is fully updated. The BDP-S350 hasn't been updated in some time. Possible that a recent update could have broken compatibility with that particular disc? All other discs play fine in the newer player. This is the first Criterion label disc I have bought. |

Your player isn't among the ones listed, but the disc has been recalled due to some playability issues on select models. |

Email Criterion and tell them the problem. They will give you an address to send the defective disc back for a corrected disc. I keep forgetting to send mine back to them. When I emailed them they said they would send one to me when they had newer disc pressed, but this was a few months ago. I asked in the Criterion blu-ray thread asking if anyone had received a fixed disc yet, but I never got an answer/was ignored so people could complain about their use of digipack packaging.
