"Rob Roy" BD (Region 2)

"Rob Roy" is now available on BD in France and I just got my copy in the mail today. I've been looking for a decent copy of this film forever. The U.S. SD has long been criticized for having one of the worst PQ transfers ever. And I agree. It was borderline unwatchable. Thankfully, the PQ on the Blu Ray is spectacular. Not perfect, but I'd give it a 4 or 4.5 rating out of 5. Very very pleased with this release and purchase.

How was the audio quality? Any burned subs? Extras? I'd love to upgrade, but I'll wait a bit longer if the French release is barebones.

The audio was fantastic too. No burned subs. And no extras. But if you are a fan of this film, I cannot recommend the upgrade enough. Who knows when it will get released here. This is such a great and underrated film. Tim Roth definitely deserved all of his nominations for his work (Oscar, Golden Globe, etc). After watching it again after all these years, it's criminal Neeson and Lange didn't get any nominations too. And the cinematography is gorgeous.
