I've already got the UK BD. Not worth it for some extra trinkets....

Now this is why I bought into BD. Dust collecting collectibles.

Pretty cool, wouldn't mind getting that for X-mas, can't see myself buying it though.

Been enjoying the UK disc for a while now. Don't need a bloated SRP, oversized box and dusty collectibles. I'd be shocked if the disc itself does not contain the same PQ as the UK disc.

No thanks, Warner. Have the UK disc and unless they improved the PQ here, I'll be sticking with it.

I'm hoping that either Walmart or Target won't want to stock that over-sized collector's box and one of them gets a store exclusive disc only release (like they did in the past for Woodstock, Wizard Of Oz, and Gone With The Wind)....

Not a big enough fan of the movie to get the set with all the extra stuff. If it gets a single disc release in the future I might get it then.

I'm willing to bet this will happen. It will be very inexpensive when it goes on sale if not this Black Friday then the next.

I bought the German BD and yeah, I don't really need the board game and magazines. I might double dip if Warner improves on the transfer (it's clean but kinda flat) but I doubt it.

I don't usually go in for all that extraneous crap. This looks kind of cool though. I just have a lot of nostalgia around this film. I'd be willing to bet that I'd look at it once and never touch the extras again

Im gonna bite on this just because Im a huge goonie myself and have seen the film over 100+ times since it came out. Most likely all the extra junk will go in the closet or attic and the movie on the shelf but it will be nice to just have the extras for a real fan to have.

Warner Bros. royally screw it up yet again. 25th Anniversary and it's the exact same DVD with nothing new except some trinkets in a box. Lazy, WB. This deserved better.

On a related note, I was in Astoria last week where this and Kindergarten Cop were filmed.

True, that was almost a year ago when they mentioned that Target was going to be getting Gremlins as a timed exclusive (which did happen) and Goonies was supposed to follow sometime after....however that was before Warner decided to doll Goonies up in one of their deluxe boxes of junk like GWTW and Oz....still, l do have faith and fully expect to see an individual release somewhere....

Wow, a nice Goonies set and you guys shit all over it. I do agree there should be a single disc version, but good lord it's nice to see a classic movie get some recognition. Besides, if you wait a little while, I guarantee one could find it in the mid $20 range a little bit after the new year. I dunno, I might just bite.

I agree, however it's a $15 movie with a $35 premium for two magazines and a simple board game. I have gotten my kids into the movie, so the board game could be pretty fun with them. I think $25-30 for this set is the sweet spot. It's currently at $35 on Amazon.

Too bad the actual blu-ray case doesn't have that new cover, love it. Gonna pass on the crappy trinket edition and just get the movie...
