Re: Battle Royale (Arrow Releasing)--October 2010?
finally arrived in Northern, NJ via amazon uk!
FYI, I ordered a second one from Arrow's website to give as a gift next holiday season.
I figure these still-sealed suckers are going to be pretty rare.
Good luck to everyone else.

Haven't opened it yet... I was wondering if I was more likely to get a higher number if I opened the one from amazon or arrow. It seems like there is no rhyme or reason to the numbers, thoughts?

I pre-ordered mine back in October... and shipped on Dec 11 like most and got a # in the 8,000's so it does not appear there is any pattern to them.

Well, it seems like people who ordered from Amazon have numbers that range from the 800s to the 8000s, so I'd say they've probably been mixed together. There's the logic that Arrow possibly had their own stash on reserve that, maybe, was scooped from the upper layer, but who knows. Just crack one open and get to enjoying.

Just be happy you got one at all...
I've already sent in another letter to Amazon.co.uk because mine still didn't arrive today as promised.
Looks like I'm ordering from Arrow... (and if my Amazon order decides to show up, hey, at least I'll have something I can sell for a bit of profit...)
for Amazon/Royal Mail on this one...

I think it's pretty much a mail fail on this whole fiasco. We all know that stuff usually comes pretty quick from Amazon.co.uk. The weather just conspired against us all on this one. It was just incredibly crappy timing for it all to have gone down the way it did. Amazon did right by me and I have no qualms at all about ordering again from them in the future.

I know Amazon is usually great on both sides of the Atlantic, but I've had some issues with Royal Mail throughout the past decade or so (having lived in the U.K. for a bit and experienced some lost packages, awful service, etc.).
I know many others have finally received BR, so I know it's not a mass conspiracy...just some lost ones along the way.
I don't 'blame' Amazon for this, as they have been of course very kind and attentive in their customer service responses (and refunding my shipping already), I'm just disappointed in the whole thing...

Question since we're talking about Amazon.co.uk
I ordered a few blu's about 5 days ago. It shipped on Monday, I was curious how long of a wait I should be waiting? It has an ETA of Feb. 1st but some day it gets to you a lot sooner? Dispatched on 11th of January.

My track record from amazon.uk is about 10 days on average. I ordered Being Human Season 2 on January 2nd, it shipped January 3rd, and I got it yesterday, January 14th. I'm in Texas, so more than likely your ship time may be slightly different. You're in California, so I'd guess 13 days or so.

Re: Battle Royale (Arrow Releasing)--October 2010?
I haven't ordered the Battle Royale Blu-ray but I ordered a couple other Blu-rays from Amazon.co.uk this weekend which were shipped on Monday and I received them yesterday. I used the cheapest shipping option so I don't know how they got here so quick. It usually takes me 2-3 weeks to get mail from the US!
