I got my shipping notice as well. I hope they package it better than my last order, where the DVDs were literally about to fall out of the cardboard wrapping because of insufficient tape.

I had the same thing a couple orders back. My order came in one of the cardboard boxes with the flap that wraps around the back. One end of the box was completely opened. I don't know how something didn't fall out and I'm lucky no one took anything.

Got the shipping notice as well. But the 3rd disc may not play on BR due to region issues? Blech!

Well it's a PAL DVD. Get a $30 Phillips player from Wal-Mart. It comes in very useful when importing. I don't even think you need to hack anything anymore to play R2 PAL discs on a PC with VLC Media Player.

The DVD is region free, but is PAL-based. So if you have a DVD or BD player that can do PAL-to-NTSC conversion; you're in the clear (ahem XBOX 360 for region free discs).

You might be surprised. A lot of players do it without the owner's knowledge, while some higher-dollar ones don't that probably should. The PAL issue is exactly why I picked up my JVC XV-BP1 last year: great-quality little player, extremely quick (almost up to PS3 speed), and handles PAL material well on both DVD and from Blu-ray discs.

Mine dispatched on Saturday and in the past when I've ordered from Amazon.co.uk, it takes about a week. However, I've also never ordered from them in the midst of the beating the UK is taking with blizzards and snow storms galore.
I just want to get it before year's end at this point rather than the January 3rd date Amazon is showing.

Mine shipped out on Monday the 13th. It takes about a week to get to California. I e-mail Amazon about the release delay and asked about getting the 3.08GBP shipping refunded. They wrote me back and said they have already credited my CC for the amount after my inquiry.

In a previous post Scott1598 posted that he got a refund for the shipping charge because of the release date delay. So, I decided to email them and got the same refund. It's up to you because I don't think their just going to give it you without you inquiring about it. I suggest you do it because it's almost $5 at the current exchange rate so my total came in under $20 for the set with the free shipping.
