Re: Battle Royale (Arrow Releasing)--October 2010?

I still haven't received mine either. There was a package waiting for me yesterday, but it was my DVD2BLU discs that I have been waiting on since early last November. Not as cool as getting Battle Royale would have been...

Still nothing here either.... but its all good, as long as it gets here sometime reasonable. I"m limiting myself to buying one new blu ray a week through march (in order to save money for a convention), so since I technically ordered/paid for this in december, it won't count against me

Re: Battle Royale (Arrow Releasing)--October 2010?

For an interesting note, The Weinstein Company bought a 25% share in Starz Media.

This allows future Weinstein Company media to be released via Anchor Bay, but it also allows Anchor Bay to release films theatrically through The Weinstein Company.

So... um... yeah, could be a reason why we haven't heard an official response from Anchor Bay about Battle Royale.

Re: Battle Royale (Arrow Releasing)--October 2010?

Battle Royale is still not here, in North Carolina. Just to correlate the threads I have been reading, many people who bought the Alien Anthology from Amazon.co.uk did not receive their copies from around the same shipping period as Battle Royale's release, with many thread complaints about the situation on CAG and BR.

I fall into both categories.

Nothing for me. I guess they really meant January 5th when they said that would be the latest I could expect it. At least I hope so.

You've got to admit, if all of us somehow end up getting the discs tomorrow its going to be very funny.

Re: Battle Royale (Arrow Releasing)--October 2010?

If we all get it tomorrow, this thread better be nearly silent.... considering how long we've been bitching, we better get right to it and watch every single damn frame of every disc.

No dice here yet either - and yeah, if we all don't get it tomorrow (which is doubtful), amazon.uk is going to get a shit-ton of mail in their inbox.

Yeah, I didn't receive mine either today (in Florida). Will send an email tomorrow if it doesn't arrive.

I emailed them - asking for a refund of shipping (my original shipment email said delivery by 12/24.. their system updated to 1/5 afterwards). They responded with a full refund and apology that the order was not delivered. At this point it seems like they're assuming it won't be delivered.

What's the working theory on why so many of these have yet to be delivered, and yet, regardless of location, a few have?

Incriminating photos.

Re: Battle Royale (Arrow Releasing)--October 2010?

Austin, Texas reporting in.

Package not here y'all.

As reported earlier in the thread... I also contacted Amazon UK about when to expect the package and received a full refund without even asking for it. I'm still hopeful this thing actually got shipped though.

I ordered Bay of Blood which also shipped on Dec.11 and still haven't received it either. I was going to order Deep Red but will hold off until Amazon has their shipping situation corrected.

It isn't Amazon, it is Royal Mail. Mine was shipped directly from the Arrow Films office on December 14th, and it isn't here yet, either.

Exactly. Asking these companies to compensate you because you've been waiting a couple extra weeks on delivery is disingenuous, I think.

My guess: Amazon got much more than 10,000 orders, but they were reaching the end of their fiscal year. They decided to charge us all and fake shipping so they could reach their numbers, and put the "expected delivery date" out several weeks to keep people from noticing, knowing full well that they'll have to be handing out refunds.

Spoiler:
I don't really think this.
