Love this show. But, I'm going to hold out for a little bit. I paid $44 on release week for the season 1 BR and then a few months later it dropped to $25.

If you haven't seen season 2 yet, the "Unearthed" episode is a standalone plot that was produced shortly after season 1 finished. It aired in the middle of the season, but there is small continuity error with what happened earlier in the season.

I was hoping some of the extras on this set would explore the "Walternate Universe" in depth.

Small?!?

Spoiler:
Charlie was killed in the first episode, and his shape-shifting doppelganger was killed by the fourth episode...."Unearthed" aired as the 11th episode of the second season, and Charlie is back as his alive and normal self with absolutely no explanation....I personally found it really off putting the way this was handled when it aired (with no indication that it was an unaired S1 continuity episode)...basically, the best thing to do IMO is to skip the episode altogether when watching the season, or watch it at some point while you are watching the first season since it was supposed to go there initially....

Same here. I love Fringe and I'm definitely in for getting Season 2 on BD (can't wait to watch the flashback episode again) but will hold out until it goes on super sale, because I still haven't watched my S1 set that I paid top dollar for on release day... and those sales really stung.
