Question about the Robocop blu ray

I have the Robocop Trilogy 3 disc DVD set.

How does the blu ray version compare to Robocop 1 on this set?

Is the blu ray version the same director's extra violent cut on the DVD one?

Also, is the blu ray a good HD transfer?

I thought it looked terrible, there were moments I thought I was watching the DVD instead of a blu-ray.
