Tempting but I'll just wait for the Criterion edition.

As far as I know, Romero oversaw the Restoration, so one can only assume he participated in some sort of extras.

He did participate in the 90 minute documentary that's on the Dimension Extreme dvd from around 2008, until a blu of this new restoration, that's prob the best version for now

It's not UV or iTunes, that is for sure. It's some gimmicky system only they use, so the digital copy is worthless.

Mill Creek will make a nice buck with their version because it will be widely available.
Those extras better be on Criterion...

As someone who still owns the 1997 Elite release in that hard-to-open jewel case thingy, I'd love to see Criterion bring together ALL the legacy extras for this release in addition to any new ones they've created, but that seems more like something Shout or Arrow would do.

Here's Mill Creek's solicitation info:

No extras and not sure on the price since the sticker shows DVD.

Assuming this doesn't get trashed in reviews, I'll gladly drop $8 as a placeholder release until Criterion (if they are actually doing this) get theirs out.

Did Mill Creek use a potato to beat the film negative onto the Blu-ray disc?

Yikes. It looks like they took the 35mm film frame, put it in a Xerox machine, printed it out onto paper, and then photographed the paper with a cell phone camera.

It looks like they took a VHS scan and sharpened it to me. All of the fine detail is gone. Notice the wall and floor are missing so much detail they look nothing alike!
