Arrow Video's City of the Living Dead Blu-Ray
Is it Region-less/free and or playable worldwide? Are the extras on the Blu-Ray disc in this set in SD and PAL-encoded?

this edition trumps the Blue Underground edition - can't wait to hear the commentaries (especially Giovanni Lombardo Radice's, since his commentary for 'Cannibal Ferox' is quite good) and watch the extras.

I did that too. Pretty reasonable for an import, especially if you buy Dawn and Day.

Re: Arrow Video's City of the Living Dead Blu-Ray
According to Arrow Films themselves their edition of City of the Living Dead will be uncut, uncensored, and Region-free/playable worldwide. They also said that all of the extras will be in HD except the one called "Fulci In The House: The Italian Master Of Splatter". It'll be in SD and PAL-encoded. :-(

Re: Arrow Video's City of the Living Dead Blu-Ray
^ I know that DVDBeaver reviews sometimes slips the cog once in a while, but they don't denote that extra as such. My LG bluray player actually plays Region 0 PAL encoded DVD's, I assume it won't have a problem playing the' Fulci in the House' featurette ... right?

Re: Arrow Video's City of the Living Dead Blu-Ray
Just a heads up for everyone buying this edition. Aside from two extras, the HD extras are in 1080i/50hz. So if you have a ps3 or any other sony bluray player, their not going to play. Film works fine, as well as the trailer and picture gallery (:mad2:).
None of the reviews I read pointed this out, so I'm pretty much left out. Unless ofcourse my sony player blows up in the future. |

(Forgot we had a thread for this title)
Just got my City of the Dead UK version in. Same packaging as Dawn/Day. The 6 postcards also mention off several new DVD versions of films that may or may not show up in America: Macabre Sleepless House of the Cementary Silent Night Deadly Night Bloodfeast 2 Street Trash Two Evil Eyes Martin Terror of the Opera Stendhal Syndrome The Player They look like DVD copies in similar packaging...here's hoping for BDs of them! And don't worry - it's Region Free (or atleast A an B) |
