I'll be interested in seeing just how "limited" this special edition tin really is. Seems like a lot of things that get slapped with that tag really aren't all that limited.

I watched part I yesterday and was very impressed. The video was solid with some nice rich color, but I think I was even more surprised by how good the audio sounded.

Yeah, I really think people made a huge deal out of the DNR issues over nothing. Damn screenshot scientists.
The only thing that really bothered me a bit was the edge enhancement. It only really seems to be a pain when there's some high contrast going on (Marty's dark brown hair against a light blue sky for example), but man, is it obnoxious when it's visible. Other than that, the first film looked good.

Damn. I just ordered it. It does look pretty cool, and so much cooler than the US version. I also picked up Almost Famous, as I've wanted it for awhile anyway.

The HD Room has a story about the packaging and Universal responded by providing a pdf of instructions for removing the discs.

found the blu-ray trilogy at Rasputin today used for $29.99 and it doesnt look like anyone touched it. Guess they opened it and decided to sell it or whatever. Glad I waited on picking it up!

my UK tin arrived yesterday Its so fricking beautiful and has so much shit on it, very glad I opted for this edition. I stared watching pieces of Part I and II and it looks beautiful so I don't know how anybody could complain but what I certainly was most impressed with was the sound, the mix is just perfect. Very few DVDs or blu-rays even of music concerts have such a pristine balanced, and evolving mix.
PS: I don't know if it has been mentioned before but the digipack unfold too and it has a long picture that its kinda cool

Got my set too. This thing is awesome. My tine arrived pristine without a mark on it. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but for you OCD types out there (like me), I was pleased that there are NONE of those ugly UK ratings logos anywhere on the tin. They're only on the digipak inside and the paper sleeve that came around the tin, which I threw away.

Well, Amazon.co.uk says it's no longer available from them. They do list several "other sellers" who still have it though.

I pre-ordered the collector's set from Amazon UK with the Inception set. I hope I still get the BTTF collector's set from Amazon UK since its now out of stock.

If UK Amazon have the same policy as the US one, then you should definitely get it. They will hold it for you until it ships.
Lucky for me too!
I finally cave and ordered one on Sunday. I guess I just made it. I was waiting until US drops the price and had better packaging without the digital copy in it, but I just couldn't wait.

Hey now you dont know that, it could very well be a promotional copy that some one recieved and decided they didnt want. So they traded it in or sold it where the poster bought it from at the used price. And since they are buying it from another person and not direct from there distributor they cant charge fullprice
That happens alot at Ameoba Records, they have great prices on what they call blueline movies and music which are titles that are still new and unopened they get from regular people unloading there movies.
most of these are promotional copies sent to reviewers and what not.

Of course, I don't know that (and I don't want to know or I could never buy from ebay with good conscience if I'd assume that a brand new movie that goes for half MSRP or less was anything but legally acquired).
