"Dirty Harry Collection"

Is the video and audio quality the same in this box set as in the OOP "Dirty Harry: The Ultimate Collection" box set?

p.s.
I did a search here (in DVDTALK, not in this forum) and found nothing.

Yeah, the discs themselves should be exactly the same as the Ultimate Collection. You just don't get the extra crap like the badge and book, etc.

I think it's one disc shorter than the original set though.

This is what I'm trying to clarify as well -- and it's been hard. Re: the DISC EXTRAS, i.e. commentaries, featurettes, etc. -- does this reissued set contain *everything* that was on the "Ultimate Collector's" Blu set? I just want to know so I can go for the first collection soon, if need be -- feature-wise, I want *everything.* :-)

Well according to Amazon both sets have 5 discs.

The BD sets are the same -- just a switch in case (gatefold digipak to BD case) and the removal of the book and trinkets.

The DVD set does drop one of the extra discs (the American Masters TV special on Eastwood -- which wasn't in the BD set to begin with), that's where some of the confusion on disc count comes in.

This is good then. I won't need to go to Ebay or the Amazon marketplace and get the Ultimate Collection.
