I'll try to be more helpful.

Nosing around, it looks to be a region B release.

The specs according to DVD Compare:

Audio commentary with actress Marilyn Burns ("Sally"), actors Paul A. Partain ("Franklin") and Allen Danziger ("Jerry"), and production designer/art director Robert A. Burns, moderated by David Gregory

Audio commentary with actor Gunnar Hansen ("Leatherface"), cinematographer Daniel Pearl, and director/co-writer/co-producer Tobe Hooper

"The Shocking Truth" -documentary (72:48)

"Flesh Wounds - Seven Stories of the Saw" -documentary (71:38)

"The Business of Chain Saw - Interview with Production Manager Ron Bozman" (16:25)

"Gunnar Hansen's Chain Saw House Tour" -featurette (8:02)

Deleted Scenes, Alternate Footage & Outtakes (2:21)

"Shocking Truth Outtakes" (7:33)

"Tobe Hooper Interview" (13:46)

"Kim Henkel Interview" (8:25)

Trailers and TV (2 trailers & 3 TV-spots) (5:00)

2 radio spots (1:02)

"Off the Hook - Interview with Teri McMinn" (17:00)

Subtitles:English HoH
Aspect Ratio:1.78:1
Picture Format:1080p 24fps AVC MPEG-4
Soundtrack(s):English DTS 5.1
English PCM 2.0 stereo
English Dolby Digital 1.0 mono
Case type:Keep Case
I haven't checked my U.S. Blu-ray to see how it stacks up. It definitely uses the same master as the U.S. release, though. (So does the Turbine BD from Germany.)

Searched google and found this on ebay in the UK, looks like the one you guys are talking about. If it is same one you are talking about it is a Region B like Adam said.

Re: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Seriously Ultimate Edition [1974]

Nothing wrong with the US release.Im assuming people want the UK version, because its alot cheaper.Since im in europe, Greece to be exact,I took advantage of the amazon UK price.I received it a couple days ago .I dont think this edition has anything exclusive, but I could be wrong. Also read on another forum, that even though this uses the same master as the US release , this Uk release looks better. This is because, the US release uses the VC1 codec, while the UK uses AVC .Looked great to me, but I never had the US blu ray release because my player isnt region free.So I only buy titles from the US, that are confirmed to be region free.To me the blu ray, looks to be a step up from the 2 disc ultimate dvd picture quality, from a few years ago.Its worth it.

The US release has been as low as $12 on Amazon several times. The UK edition shipped to the USA is probably about the same. Its $14.49 on Amazon right now. It's probably a case of someone thinking it has more special features or not comparing the US price.

What a stupid name for this "new" special edition. Calling it "seriously" Ultimate edition is just the company admitting to the fact that there are tons of "editions" for this movie, possibly TOO many.

I would go for the Rusty Blade Edition but not the Seriously Awesome Super Cool Ultimate Edition. Anyway, the US release has plenty of special features and the price is more than fair.

I had to check the date of the first post to make sure it wasn't April 1. What a goofy name.

Having just bought the US BD today, it looks like an identical rundown of features. And by the way, it's $12.99 this week at Best Buy.

That Austin Powers one would be a great edition name.

Also, I'm surprised that Tommy Boy one WASN'T the name of the 2 disc that came out in 05.

How about these:

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors - The Welcome to Primetime Bitch Edition (or Where's the Fucking Bourbon Edition)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master - How Sweet, Fresh Meat Edition
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child - IT'S A BOY Edition
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare - You Thought I Was Your Daddy? Mmm-Mmm, Wrong Edition (hilariously too long)
Back to the Future - 1.21 Jigowatts! Edition

Re: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Seriously Ultimate Edition [1974]

I have to get in on this fun.

Robocop - I'll Buy That For a Dollar Edition
Evil Dead 2 - I'll Swallow Your Soul Edition
A Few Good Men - You Can't Handle This Edition
Blue Velvet - Don't You Look at Me Edition
Batman - Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys Edition

As for the Texas Chainsaw Blu-ray, it gets an enthusiastic recommendation for me. I think it has been as low as $9.99 or $10.99 at Amazon.
