Re: The Game Criterion possibly coming soon!?
I'm one of those people who enjoys Panic Room and I like The Game as well. Of the two The Game is definitely a better movie.
With repeated viewing Benjamin Button grew on me as well, I bet when I'll be watching it for the fifth time I'll be like "This is bloody marvelous!"
Alien 3 is his weakest movie in my opinion, but again, it's flaws are mostly due to production problems than anything else.

Re: The Game Criterion possibly coming soon!?
Very excited to hear this might finally be arriving on Blu-ray via Criterion. Their laserdisc release was pretty great, with informative commentary, tons of cool raw behind-the-scenes footage, galleries, etc. I'd be perfectly happy with a straight port of all the previous LD material along with a new Fincher-approved transfer of the film.
I think The Game is certainly underrated. I'd rank Fincher's films accordingly:
1) Zodiac
2) Fight Club
3) Seven
4) The Game
5) Alien 3: Special Edition
6) Panic Room
7) Alien 3: Theatrical Edition
8) The Curious Case of Zzzzzzzzzz...

Even though it's been pretty much confirmed already, there's a cool update from today's Collider interview with Fincher:
The Game is coming to Blu-ray! Criterion is working on it right now. He’s been sent the first 3 reels to watch but hasn’t had the time yet to actually watch them. One of the big holdups is because Gramercy was purchased by Universal, Criterion has limited funds to work with. Also, he doesn’t like to revisit his movies, which delays the process.
