Bourne films - box set vs. individual releases

What difference, if any, are there between the Bourne BD box set discs and the individual releases that are coming out on January 19? Thanks for any info.

There's no new material if that's what you are wondering about. Just a DVD version of the movie on the opposite side, that's the only new part.

The DVD boxset of 4 discs, came with the 4th disc of featurettes on Ludlum and trailers. Are these extras on the Blu-Rays?

Bestbuy has the PaPa Johns coupon instead of the Movie Cash from Target

If you are interested in saving some money...

The UK box set is cheap (Amazon UK), and the BDs play on US BD players. I should note that some people have complained about the player-generated subtitles (first and third films). I watched The Bourne Identity last night, and I never would have known about the subtitle issue if I hadn't read about it online. I have a Panasonic BD35, and the subtitles looked very clean.

I purchased the Matrix set at the same time, and I ended up paying a total of $55 including shipping! That's about $9 per film!

Those were moved to the extras section on The Bourne Identity Blu-ray.

Unfortunately, no BD that I am aware of has the Evolution of Nicky or Big City Action featurettes from the international and Best Buy/Futureshop exclusive DVD release.

Re: Bourne films - box set vs. individual releases

I'd really like to get these movies but am not interested in having flipper discs. Is the UK box set a good alternative? I see that on the UK Amazon site you can get it for around $31 and was thinking about doing that. Any major differences that I should be aware of and it will play in a PS3 correct?

EDIT: Didn't see the post a couple above mine. Might just order that set.

Ordered the UK set a few days ago, at that price you really can't go wrong IMO.

Re: Bourne films - box set vs. individual releases

I ordered the UK set last Sunday. Should hopefully receive it soon.

I like having a box set instead of individual movies, if I have the choice. Of course, if they make a 4th movie, I'm screwed, heh.

Just think of it this way, even if they do, it won't be Ludlum's trilogy.

True.

By the way, the movies came on Saturday. I hadn't had a chance to check the mail before I went to work Saturday night. Haven't watched them yet though.
