Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Blu-ray) / Digital Copy [Small Print PSP Only]!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Blu-ray) / Digital Copy [Small Print PSP Only]!

I feel that Sony mis-labeled this package!

In big print on the front is says "DIGITAL COPY" then in small print on the back "ONLY PSP" where in the past a "DIGITAL COPY" would either be on a another disc or as a download from iTunes or the like media service!

Is this just ''SONY''s way to boost the sale of their failing handheld gaming system!?

This is just forcing me to put the DVD through the backup process so that I can play it on my iPod!

I think all Sony titles going forward are DC only with the PSP. But since it uses .MP4 format, I think it would work in iPod (unless I'm wrong on this).

That's not quite accurate...Cloudy does have the PSP-only Digital Copy, but other announced titles have PSP, PC and Mac/iTunes versions.

The last few I've seen have been PSP only (Godzilla 2000, Angel and Demons, Ugly Truth - unless I'm mistaken on these as I don't own them). Is Sony just being select with what titles it chooses to make PSP-only Digital Copy? Because it seems like the last few have only been PSP-only while some don't include any (Halloween II, but maybe because it's a Weinstein title)

The d/c's for Ugly Truth and Angels & Demons are compatible with iTunes as well. Godzilla is PSP only (via the PS3).

My digital copy code for it doesn't work - it keeps saying it's the wrong code. I just wanted to see what it would look like, but no big deal. I'd never watch the whole thing that way.

Anyone do an A/B comparison between the Blu-ray and the included DVD?
Such a difference between the two. The Blu-ray looks so alive with color alone, to say nothing of the obvious improvements in detail and so on.

Godzilla was PSP only, but A&D and Ugly Truth had all 3.

I feel that "Sony" should use the monicker "PSP E-Copy" not "Digital Copy" if they are going to release the copy for only one format.. where "Digital Copy" currently means PC, MAC, & Digital Protected HandHeld!

Re: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Blu-ray) / Digital Copy [Small Print PSP Only]

After being transferred and transferred I finally spoke to someone who was yet again no help at all. I didn't know I had to verify what kind of digital copy it was when I bought it! Is there a way to put this on my Itouch without purchasing anything else? PS all sony was willing to do is let me ship them my opened copy and they will send a sealed copy that I can return to the store.

If you do a 'Google Search' for WMV to MP4 you can find software that claims to 'fix' the problem.. but the authors of these software packages want $50+

I feel that if 'Sony'(and other studios) is(are) going to limit the portable devices that their digital copies can be played on then they should not call it a digital copy but list it as a "PSP" copy.

And / Or the major portable management software companies should have some way to exchange digital copies!! If the install has proper digital management installed.

Re: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Blu-ray) / Digital Copy [Small Print PSP Only]

The Blu-ray packaging for Cloudy actually does have a sticker on the front that states "PSP Bonus Digital Copy," with details about it on the back ("A PSP Digital Copy of the film to transfer via your PlayStation 3")...in this instance, it is a Digital Copy for the PSP only.

But Zombieland, for instance, which comes out next Tuesday, does have all 3 Digital Copy files (PSP, PC, Mac/iTunes).

The copy I bought does not openly disclose that it is for playstation/psp only. The sticker you encountered is a good change... it isn't right to mislead consumers. (Thanks David... Though I'm not willing to pay 50+, you were actually helpful.)

The sticker you speak of may of been covered by the price sticker and on the back side the local retailer has started placing their 'MEDIA RETURN POLICY" sticker where you can not read alot of the ''SPECS'' listed on the back of the disc's jackets till after you have removed the plastic wrapper...

The Blu-Ray disc package came with a DVD of the movie right? So, you can use programs like the Videora iPod Touch Converter to put it on your iPod Touch.
