The sequel is campy fun if you don't take it too seriously. Yes, a decent chunk of it merely rehashes the first movie.

And again, that's what kills it for me, half of it being a clips show.

Earthquake coming to Shout Select. I would be interested in this. Total 70's cheeseball disaster flick with an all-star cast.

Part 2 needed a new transfer more than Part 1. Either way, pass.

Anyone a fan of The Tatami Galaxy? Director Masaaki Yuasa's new movie "The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl" is its spiritual cousin.

Shout is really dipping now into the obscure. I know that era of movies pretty well and have never heard of either one.

The earlier SE of this was pretty impressive. Not sure Shout's will be worth the inevitably higher price, but here it is:

Creeps

NIGHT OF THE CREEPS

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT + First Ever Exclusive Tom Atkins ACTION FIGURE from NECA - N.E.C.A**

We aim to “thrill” you today with very exciting news! Please read carefully on as there’s a lot to communicate…• We are releasing a new Blu-ray of the popular 80s cult classic NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, which is planned for a May 28th Street Date. Region A. US & Canada.
• This will be presented as a Collector’s Edition and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months of release.
• We are doing something different and not adding a newly-designed illustration to the national release. The front-facing cover will be the iconic “zombie rose” art that many remember fondly from its initial VHS release. The reverse cover will featuring a theatrical poster design (Students with flamethrowers as zombies approach)
• Extras and final specs are in progress and will be announced on a later date. All extras from the prior U.S. Blu-ray release will be ported over and new extras are underway. Director’s Cut of the film is a given and we are working towards also providing the theatrical cut of the film (which had a different ending) as well. We’ll let you know of our progress in April.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now if you are the ultimate NIGHT OF THE CREEPS fan then you’ll want to take note of two offers on the release—one of which is only available at www.shoutfactory.com while supplies last:

STANDARD OFFER (which will also be made available through other retailers throughout the month).
- Receive the Collector’s Edition Blu-ray with slipcover
Pre-order through us now @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/…/night-of-the-creeps-collecto…

EXCLUSIVE WEBSITE-ONLY DELUXE OFFER (Only 3,000 of this offer being made. US & Canada only)
- Receive the Collector’s Edition Blu-ray with slipcover
- Receive a rolled limited-edition 18” x 24” poster of a newly-designed illustration from Devon Whitehead (Trick r Treat, Valentine). Made exclusively for this promotion only. (Also to note: Posters are now being rolled and shipped in a poster tube differently that we did last year to ensure better delivery.)
- Receive a second slipcover featuring the Devon Whitehead art concept. (Both the poster and the slipcover were made exclusively for our site only)
- Receive an exclusive, limited edition 8” tall Detective Ray Cameron (Tom Atkins) action figure created by NECA - N.E.C.A and officially approved by Mr. Atkins himself! This will only be made available here exclusively on our site and will not be sold elsewhere or at a later date.

Also announced recently:

ALLIGATOR PEOPLE

We’re heading into the swamp this Summer and pulling the 50s drive-in favorite THE ALLIGATOR PEOPLE out and onto Blu-ray!
Street date planned for May 28th.

A young wife (Beverly Garland, Swamp Women, It Conquered the World) is abandoned by her husband (Lon Chaney Jr., The Wolf Man, Abbott And Costello Meet Frankenstein) on their wedding day. Distraught, she tracks him down to his ancestral home in the bayous of Louisiana, where, amid the swamps and the deadly undergrowth, she discovers a terrible secret. Her husband was saved from death by an experimental medical procedure involving serum derived from alligators ... and now he's developing horrifying side effects. She'll face any danger to help him, but soon discovers her love may not be enough.

Suburbia received a so-so transfer and no new special features for a so-called collector's edition.

That Night of the Creeps Collector’s Edition with the NECA figure is sort of tempting.

The Hunted: Coming May 21st.

I enjoyed this movie back when I saw it in the 1990s. Not sure if it's something I feel like I need to own though.

and we can't forget one of the biggest titles from Patrick Swayze's career.

Universal must have given Shout a great dumpster fire deal on this titles.

Even though I get every SF title for review, I had to order the NotC set. That Atkins figure is just too cool. $70 is steep but a splurge every now and then is a good thing.

I saw this when I was probably 10 or 11, I don't remember anything about it, but I've always LOVED the title and the overall idea of the movie. It's so cultish and campy. I assume I'd be disappointed if I rewatched it though.

Scream Factory is running a Love is in the Scare sale for Valentine’s Day. Pretty decent selection and not bad prices.

^ Yeah, it's about as good as you'll get from SF in terms of pricing. I realized after placing the order that I screwed up, and should have just gotten Candyman or Valley Girl (at full price) to bump my order up to the $50 free shipping threshold. Instead I went with Dead Ringers. Great movie of course, but Candyman and Valley Girl are on my immediate "want" list.

Best price I've seen for Creepshow at $23.96. But that's still kind of expensive for a 30+ year old catalog title.
